@jimmysoldout Bitcoin is a smarter choice but RE can be great. Bought house only 6 years ago and will be paid off in 4. Year after, got another cheap house in cash for 20k, fixed it up and it pays 85% of my other mortgage. In 4 years, I can travel the 🌎 and have 2 props paying me.🧡

no shade but why would i literally ever buy a home… you still have to pay a mortgage monthly that would be the same cost as just paying rent atp. and at least with renting, the expenses for anything that goes wrong falls into the landlord instead of on you

Back from the Bitcoin Conference in Vegas. Biggest takeaway? Bitcoin in cold storage is STILL criminally underrated. The entire conference was about building on Bitcoin. But hardly anyone's talking about the original thesis: buy it, hold it and self-custody it. No yield. No leverage. No counterparty. Just Bitcoin in cold storage appreciating against fiat over time. That's the only true asymmetric bet. This conference exists because Bitcoin in cold storage works so well that people built entire industries on top of it. But the foundation is still the move most people aren't making. Because it's too simple. Too boring. I know. But still works. And it's still underrated.
