@AGloveBox @autocorrect2_0 So you agree the God of Judaism or Christianity is as ridiculous an idea as Zeus, Poseidon, or Superman

@AGloveBox @autocorrect2_0 Why is it called higher power if it has no "higher power"? What higher power do you believe this "higher power" has?

@AGloveBox @autocorrect2_0 There is no room in the rational mind for an "all knowing" "all powerful" higher power to exist at all. Sure, a rational person can have spiritual feelings, but certainly the God of Judaism or Christianity is as ridiculous an idea as Zeus, Poseidon, or Superman

@autocorrect2_0 So if I say a UNICORN created the universe, you think all the evidence scientists have on the Big Bang is not enough to be a more likely origin start than by unicorn theory? These days he problem is not that people are outstandingly dumb, but that they are openly proud to show

Overheard a great conversation on the train just now: "Yeah my sister has a 9 to 5 job. Good money but I could never do that." "You finish at 3pm right? You told me that before" "Yep" "What time do you start?" "7am" "..."

Our TMAs were hit 50 times last year. Fifty. Distracted driving puts every life on the road at risk. Make the right choice behind the wheel—stay focused. Never drive distracted. 📵🚗

The violence used by NYPD officers in this video is extremely disturbing and unacceptable. Officers should never treat a person this way. The NYPD is conducting a full investigation into this incident.
TheSalGreco@TheSalGreco

This incident was captured by Sinistratm on Instagram and took place April 14, 2026 in Brooklyn at a liquor store on Hoyt and Baltic street. Brooklyn North Narcotics attempt to arrest a suspect who resists arrest when chaos ensues. What do you all think about this incident?

@LongTimeHistory "Agrees to comply" is pretty fucking generous considering she didnt say it loud enough to officers to hear and they broke the windows 2 seconds after she said it. And that's after at least a minute of refusing a lawful order

ICE detain U.S. citizen legal observer—she was livestreaming during arrest. "Don't shoot out my window," she yells. "I'm getting out." Agents shatter car window and drag her out—even after she agreed to comply. Maria Santay is well known observer—making her a target for arrest by agents. The incident occurred in El Monte, California.

So if I call myself a journalist and take a bunch of activists to the mosque where Omar worships, barge in, disrupt the entire service, and scream at everyone that they are scam artists, I will have to assume that would be fine, correct? According to the left, it is my First Amendment right as a journalist.

@espn @NFL Great accomplishment but let’s remember there needs to be a asterisk. Watt did it in 15 games an Strahane did it in 16 games. Garrett needed a extra game to get the record.

@ZamielJC @CORSAIR Not saying this is the case here but I could see a website flagging it for fraud if the shipping address was in State A, billing address in state B, with an IP address in State C.

We have been made aware of a customer who placed an order for a VENGEANCE a5100 Gaming PC on our webstore on December 31st. The order was flagged by our fraud detection system and was cancelled as a result. On January 1st, our Holiday Deals promo pricing ended, and the normal pricing was reinstated. We are in contact with this customer directly to let them know we will still honor the price and will make sure their order is not flagged once again.
Wccftech@wccftech

Corsair reportedly cancels user’s PC order; hikes price by $800. The user ordered a Corsair Vengeance gaming PC for $3,499 and even received an invoice, only for Corsair to later cancel the order without explanation and relist same system at $4,299. 🔗 wccf.tech/1jefm

"life, liberty, and estate" - and John Locke somewhere along the way shit got fukt. Rent shouldn't be allowed. For many reasons, but here's a few. Rent prevents generational wealth. Charging rent as a sole income incentives hording property which decreases supply and increases the population that will never achieve generational wealth. Rent incentivizes crime and poor living standards. It does this by allowing people to pay cash with no background checks which happens and that also allows landlords to never do repairs and homes that are infested with mold or other issues and the people living there have no recourse other than to choose to be homeless instead of paying live in a suboptimal dwelling

Here it is, kindergarten level, without the moral sleight of hand. Rent is something you chose to pay for yourself. A job is something you chose to accept from someone else. Those two things are not connected. Your landlord doesn’t owe you cheaper rent because you’re bad with money. Your employer doesn’t owe you a higher wage because you want a nicer life. Wages are not based on what someone needs. They’re based on what the job is worth and what someone agrees to do it for. If a business “buys fewer yachts,” no extra money magically appears for wages. That money was never earmarked for you. It belongs to the owner, who took the risk, put up the capital, and might lose everything. Employees don’t share losses, so they don’t get automatic claims on profits either. If you want more money, you have three options: Get skills that are worth more Find someone willing to pay more Start your own business and pay people whatever you think is “fair” What you don’t get to do is redefine someone else’s success as your entitlement. “Buy fewer lattes” is advice about your choices. “Buy fewer yachts” is a demand about someone else’s property. That’s the difference.

The standard of living is literally the highest it's been in human history The poorest 15% in the US have cellphones, information at their fingertips New grads looking for houses want updated in modern farmhouse with 2.5 baths The average person is driving a modern wonder on wheels that connects to their phone for instant music, books or podcasts of their choice Food is delivered through an app at the touch of a button Almost no one has to hunt their own food, butcher is, cook from scratch, wait in lines for food or go hungry And what's more; there's never been an easier time to learn a skill and network thanks to the internet and cell phone age
middleclassparty@middle_class_us

It's NOT you. The standard of living is collapsing. People are working harder than ever and falling faster than ever. Groceries doubled. Rent doubled. Safety vanished. And the people in charge keep saying everything is fine.
