🚨 New Results Alert 🚨 Have you ever wondered what new therapeutic avenues would be enabled if we could program T Cells in the computer to target any desired peptide-MHC neoantigen with a TCR or a TCR-like antibody? What if we could validate these molecules easily in small arrayed or large pooled screens with ease regardless of our desired therapeutic modality? 🤔 Well, we just took a huge leap towards solving this problem. Introducing ADAPT: Antigen-receptor Design Against Peptide-MHC Targets We generate de novo TCRs and Bi-Specific T Cell Engagers from a large variety of scaffolds while redesigning all 6 CDR loops and demonstrate robust binding and peptide and HLA specific functional activity in T cells.

@zalaly This is what I read when I opened the link: “However, findings remain inconsistent, and it remains unclear whether GLP-1RA use is specifically associated with NAION rather than other optic disorders.” So I call your phrasing misleading at best.

GLP-1 drugs are associated with a 35% higher risk of NAION, an eye condition that can cause sudden vision loss. About 6 to 10 extra cases per 10,000 users over 3 years. The association is specific to NAION. No other eye conditions were affected.

It is shameful employers are not stepping up to fight Trump policies that discriminate against their employees based upon national origin. And for the employers who discourage their employees from standing up for their rights when they won’t - a special place in employer hell.

@deedydas My high school cohort in Iran produced half a dozen international olympiad medalists who went to Sharif etc. However, 12 years after, the most successful are ones who didn’t make the Olympiad. Olympiad winners are subject to regression to the mean down & losers up @nntaleb

What do the smartest kids in the world do when they grow up? I did the largest study of ~18,000 International Olympiad medalists (IMO, IOI and IPhO) over the last 25yrs, arguably the sharpest analytical minds of the world in high school, to see where they ended up and traced ~50% of them. Founders of ~20 unicorns and ~7 decacorns and ~10 billionaires: OpenAI, Cursor, Stripe, Databricks, Perplexity, Ethereum, Cognition, Hyperliquid, Fireworks, Modal, Quora, Parallel, Cartesia, Wispr Most kids went to MIT, a whopping 12% of them, followed by Cambridge (7%) and Sharif (3%)! The career paths they chose (of those who graduated) were: — 36% Academia (professors) — 26% Other — 22% in Software / Tech — 12% in Quant / Finance — 5% Founders! The biggest employer was Google, by far, at 6%. Others interesting tidbits were: — 47 of them work at Jane Street (#3) — 38 at OpenAI (#5) — 15 at Anthropic — 8 at Cognition — 6 at Isomorphic Labs Olympiaders were 1500x more likely to be billionaires and 4000x more likely to be unicorn founders than the average person!

@DrSamuelBHume the question is, why you would need this? if you're able to workout while you take retatrutide, if youre able to track what you eat, and you are able to eat healthy food while you take reta you can loose 4-5kg per month, easily! so why risk your health?

Alex on why AI drug discovery companies need to generate novel data to succeed: "AI models based on the research that's available is a lot of garbage in and garbage out." "A lot of the recorded literature is actually incorrect. There's been tons of studies that show if you go try to replicate the experiments that are in the literature, you don't even get the same results." "The AI companies that I believe are gonna be most set up for success are the companies with a novel way to generate science tokens that don't exist in the public domain."
Patrick OShaughnessy@patrick_oshag

Alex Karnal (@alex_karnal) is the most talented bio and healthcare investor I've ever met. He's spent 20 years in the industry and says 2025 was the single most exciting year he's seen. The start of a once-in-a-lifetime, trillion-dollar revolution in public health. He explains how few people realize we already have the medicines to prevent our deadliest diseases. The problem is that almost no one takes them. There's a population of people born with a mutation that means their bodies don't produce a protein called PCSK9. Their lifetime risk of cardiovascular disease is 88% lower than yours. Pharma turned that genetic advantage into a drug. It's been approved for years, but the number of people taking it is still vanishingly small. Partly because high cholesterol is a silent killer. You feel nothing, right up until you have a heart attack. And partly because the health system makes it punishingly hard to stay on a preventive drug like a PCSK9 inhibitor. In other words, the medicine works, but the system around it doesn't. That's what's starting to change, and in this episode, Alex explains why. We discuss the "health stack" he believes can add a decade to most lives, why oral GLP-1s are breaking every adoption record in pharma, peptides and citizen pharmacology, and what AI is doing to drug discovery. I wish I had an "Alex" for every interesting topic. We've been having versions of this conversation for over five years, and every single one is as clear and as useful as this one. Enjoy! It’s not about the “worst of the worst” or “illegal” immigration. Donald Trump wants to stop ALL immigration. And now he’s threatening re-reviews of previously approved and vetted green card holders—and even naturalized citizens.

Live on CNN, where you, @ebtekarm_ir, gave multiple interviews to promote the Islamic Republic and called out millions of Iranian women simply for removing their hijab, you once laughed at me when I exposed your hypocrisy, now, I couldn’t hold back my grin as I watched you humbled and your kids booted out of America. You once took American diplomat hostage, You step on the American flag on your way to work, you forced us, from the age of seven, to chant “Death to America.” jail women for their hair. You lash them. You blind women like @kosareftekharii simply for demanding freedom, then send your own daughters to America to enjoy that same freedom! We will continue our fight to expose your hypocrisy and to end your regime. #DigitalBlackOutIran#Iran

This is Masoumeh Ebtekar, the 1979 U.S. Embassy hostage-taker spokeswoman, once ready to “shoot American hostages in the head, here she responded to my investigation into her son’s luxury life in Los Angeles. She laughs, nervously and claims her son is “just another student” like thousands of Iranians in America, and says he plans to go back. That’s not just misleading. It’s a big lie because he stayed. He benefited. And he represents something very different. There is NO comparison between the children of regime insiders living freely in the West… and Iranian students and professionals who fled repression, risked everything, and are victims of the same regime, I hope the US hear their voices and protect the victims while revoking the visa of the children of Islamic Republic, who support terror. I asked the Biden administration to investigate these networks, just as they investigated Vladimir Putin’s inner circle but No action. Thank you @SecRubio for finally hearing the voice of Iranians.

The Trump Admin’s new rule to end automatic extensions on work permit renewals for workers with legal status is unfair for everyone who is filing on time and following the rules. They shouldn’t be punished because our government has a backlog and doesn’t have the staff to process their applications on time. In Las Vegas, I heard from immigration service providers about how this rule is harmful for immigrant families, their employers, and our economy. When I get back to Washington, I’m forcing a vote to overturn this unfair rule.

Many brilliant Iranian students came to the United States with nothing but their dreams, their talent, and their respect for the law. They believed in the promise of this country, a place where hard work, freedom, and merit matter. Today, many of those same students and immigrants are living in fear and uncertainty because of the #USCISPause . These are people who followed every rule, respected every law, and have absolutely no connection to the Iranian regime. Yet their lives, their careers, and their futures are now hanging in limbo. If you are a lawyer, a policymaker, or someone who believes in justice, please stand with them. Speak up. Help them. Don’t let their futures disappear in silence. #LifeTheHold

While Iran is under war and repression, regime affiliates freely live in the U.S. with green cards and even citizenship, laundering money and promoting the IRGC. Reviewing these cases is reasonable. But don’t punish the wrong people. Thousands of Iranian students and legal immigrants, many who fled the regime, are now at risk because of the USCIS pause. Protect them. #USCISPause #LiftTheHold

This is the right move because she was openly promoting IRGC to designated terrorist organization on her social media. I want to directly address Secretary Marco Rubio and the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security: Do not put Iranian students and professionals at risk. Because Many Iranians in the United States are not part of this regime, they have fled it. They came legally, respect the law, and contribute to this country. Do not treat them as the threat they escaped.
Masih Alinejad 🏳️@AlinejadMasih

The U.S. State Department announced the detention of Qasem Soleimani’s relative and her daughter. According to this report, Hamidah Soleimani Afshar and her daughter are currently in U.S. immigration custody. Until recently, they were living in the United States on green cards, enjoying the safety and freedoms denied to millions of Iranians. On social media as you see, she openly promoted the ideology of the IRGC, a designated terrorist organization and praised violence while calling America the “Great Satan.” The message is clear: The United States must not become a safe haven for those who support a regime that represses its own people while spreading hatred against this country. But one red line must remain clear. I want to directly address Secretary Marco Rubio and the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security: Do not put Iranian students and professionals at risk. Many Iranians in the United States are not part of this regime, they have fled it. They came legally, respect the law, and contribute to this country. Do not treat them as the threat they escaped. Make a clear distinction: Protect the victims. Hold the regime’s enablers accountable. Watch my investigative reports on the luxury lives of relatives of Islamic Republic officials in America 👇 👇👇

Dear @SecMullinDHS , we are all aware of the Islamic Republic and their influence operations. But please ask you to not throw the baby out with the bath water and consider Iranians that are being threatened by this regime who are in limbo on their US immigration status! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Reza Pahlavi@PahlaviReza

Mr. @SecMullinDHS, as you step into your new position I ask you to provide particular consideration to the status of Iranian students and professionals in the United States who may be at risk of immigration complications due to Presidential Proclamations 10949 and 10998. Many of these individuals fled the Islamic Republic’s because they believe in freedom, democracy, and the values this country stands for. They are also contributing to the United States every day. They arrived in this country legally, followed the rules, respect this country and its system of law and order and are among the most dedicated and accomplished contributors to American society. I ask that you and your department consider these factors, plus the personal and political risk many of these young people would face if sent back to the criminal regime in Iran. America’s concerns for its national security and the threat posed by the Islamic regime to the homeland are entirely justified. To that end, my office stands ready to provide you and your colleagues with regime operatives, propaganda agents, and influence networks for investigation and removal from the United States. Thank you for your consideration.
