@mdwilson07 Because a spiritual God uses creation; land, sheep, vine trees, etc. to teach the creature (man) spiritual realities. Sadly the creature perverts that message not understanding it’s intent and worships the creation (the material things) and not the Creator.

Is it curious really? Man has always been obsessed with manifesting the promises of God. Signs have always been a powerful temptations as proof of God or fulfillment of promise even if man must act/coordinate himself to make it a reality. The consistent distinction of God (acting on behalf of His people in history) has been one in which God gets the glory - that the HOW is more important than the WHAT. Moses defeated Egypt - how? David defeated Goliath - how? (Deut 7:6-8; I Cor 1:26-29). 1948 stands in stark contradiction to HOW God works. Jews are Gentiles (Gen 12:1-3). The difference is not in blood but in designation - Gods designation. God determines who’s a Jew. All men are of one blood.

It’s even more curious they were given a nation to live in that happens to be part of the land God promised.

So when he says thousands of Jews “followed” Jesus he doesn’t mean the literal embodied Jesus? But we’re to ascribe this following as proof God did not abandon the literal embodied Israel. One (individual Jews becoming saved at the preaching of the gospel), is not in conflict with two (God rejecting Israel as a nation as His exclusive people). God defines “Israel” not the Jews nor National Israel. Likewise God defines “His church”, not Christians nor the corporate institutional church.

Sure, but in no literal sense (the only sense we are suppose to understand “Israel” ) did thousands of Jews “follow” Jesus during His earthly ministry. If one has to employ obfuscating language which exchange one reality for another to win the point, in all likelihood the point is a lie. I won’t bother defining terms here, if you know you know.

@ASCREEN07 @RonSCantor Acts 2- Peter preached to the Jews who had come from all over for the feast of Pentecost. 3,000 were saved and continued in the faith- they went back to their Jewish towns and villages and spread the gospel there. Who knows how many thousands were saved from that one message.

@rootcausesleuth God draws “all people” in this sense - all “out of every nation, tribe and tongue”. This as opposed to a single nation, tribe and tongue - Israel. All people have what it takes to come in that same sense. Not every individual of all people. But no people group is excluded.

Calvinists, If “no one can come unless the father draws him”, Does God draw all people? If not, do all people have what it takes to come and be saved?

Dominionism is religious materialism. It is another expression of Babel - taking the good things of God in creation (including dominion) and making them the substitutionary sum and substance of salvation and thus, man the savior. “…Would be…”? Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - yeah, all the saints of God are right now resurrected. God is not the God of the dead but of the living. All who know and understand this not only don’t poo-poo “…a spiritual heaven…”, they are not “just looking” for it - they live in it. Their fellowship is with the Father and the Son (1 Jh 1:3), that being present in the body they are confident in the promise by the Spirit of God in them. And being absent from body being present with the Lord (2 Cor 5:1-8). Remember, “God is a spirit and those that worship Him do so in spirit and truth” (Jn 4:24). Christians whose religious emphasis is in the material and thus contrary to the nature of God (and the clear emphasis of His word) ought to really question their confidence in their materialism - in the flesh. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob ARR already resurrected. God is the God of the living.

Why would someone's job hinge on (I assume) the wrong answer to this question? Because the question is intended to infer that to answer in the negative is antisemitic and antisemitism are Nazism.
