Let’s say you work in the tech industry as a software developer. You probably thought one of your competitors was full of a bunch of assholes. Until they gave you an offer for 50% more money. Ain’t no moral high ground here. Any one of us would’ve made the same decision in their shoes.

@TweeterAlliss I mean, Rory has had an extra 11 years of playing professional golf. If both stopped playing today, yes, he’s had a better career. But I’m not getting too excited about all those DP tour wins where there are like eight people in field that are in the OWGR top 200.

Part of LIV’s problem was that their qualification system was trash. LaSasso is not a good enough player to warrant a spot in a professional league. I hope he saves his money, because it’s most likely the last check he’ll get for playing professional golf.

“Grandpa, you got to stay in the crow’s nest at Augusta National ?” “No, grandson, I took guaranteed money to team up with Phil Mickekson, who didn’t play all year, and I finished DFL the week after the masters at a place called Chipotlepec”

@derrickvanorden The congressman's psychological damage on display again as he invokes his frail masculinity to justify his BS. "The men are talking"? Really? Ossoff is not a man b/c he didnt play grab ass with "real" men in the military as the congressman did? God. Wisconsin deserves better.

The times are changing and @TomTiffanyWI is going to win! A friend sent me these pics. 200+ voters turned out to talk about fixing bad energy policy with @RepTiffany and @RepTranel in a Democrat Town - Mineral Point. People are fed up with leftist energy policy.

@Peter_Bukowski Yeah, but you have to look at it from the other point of view. Very few players that are worth that pic are actually available in a trade.

The list of players I’d trade 10 overall even in a mediocre draft is short. And Dexter Lawrence ain’t on it. Not even close.

@TheBrianShapiro It is not lost on me that there are a few people as boldly ignorant as @JonnyRoot_ His Rory rant about unfairness the other day was straight out of the liberal playbook too. He kind of got away with that one.

@EBrooksUncut U got range boi Elite DTs like Lawrence can eat up two blockers and crate favorable matchups for the rest of the defense. I think you’re definitely right on the age part though. He also wants a new deal and I don’t think Cincinnati is going to give it to him very quickly.

Trading a Top 10 pick for an aging DL doesn’t “make sense” no matter how bad the draft is tbh. Lawrence is very good, but I’d probably take Caleb Downs or Mansoor Delane on a cheap deal for 5 years than Dexter Lawrence
Daniel Jeremiah@MoveTheSticks

I was on the phone with a GM less than an hour ago running through top 10 scenarios. The way we had it going, we both said, “the bengals are screwed.” Well, not anymore. This trade makes a ton of sense for them.

I’ve been predicting @FrancescaHongWI would lead the pack at this time for more than a year. Everyone, and I mean everyone, said I was bonkers. Look back on my feed. Yet here we are. She’s a charming person and the party’s energy is with her. Still, I wouldn’t put it past Dems to pull a coup and put Rodriguez on the ballot. She’ll lose. She’s inauthentic and doesn’t stand for anything.

Wisconsin Right Now
Wisconsin Right Now@wisconsin_now·
A few points on this: Yes, state GOP chairs, including the chair in Wisconsin, absolutely should be held accountable and assessed on metrics and fundraising. The last two Supreme Court losses were devastatingly bad. So, too, should county chairs. What are their metrics and fundraising? Who has been successful and who hasn’t and what are their strategies? It would be nice if grassroots groups like Turning Point, which argue to have a better approach, were more transparent about their metrics and financing as well. And they haven’t always been. How many doors knocked? How much money spent to help Lazar and Schimel, etc. I’d also be curious how many resources (both people and money) Turning Point still has/plans to have in this state with its new emphasis on New Hampshire. Analyze the consultants too. Their successes or failures and the percentages they’re taking off the top. The state GOP doesn’t control the campaigns’ strategies or fundraising (although they can funnel money to them obviously.) Candidate assessment as well. Were the right people recruited and supported? Bringing up Mike Alfonso as a possible target of the swamp is hilarious considering the amount of national transportation interests and lobbyist money riddling his campaign finance reports, after fundraisers with his Sec of Transportation dad-in-law’s name on fundraising invites. If that’s not the swamp, what is? There is zero sign of the swamp targeting Tom Tiffany. I don’t even know what means. Tom Tiffany has managed to unify all of the warring factions in the conservative movement so it’s counter productive to invent hypothetical future division where there is none. So far Tiffany is running a masterful campaign. Please define an “actual conservative” and who gets to be the ultimate definer of this litmus test. It’s clear that new strategies are needed. I think the entire process should be on the table, not just one element of it. Hard questions all. Ask all of them, not just some. Revisit it all. -Jessica
Brett Galaszewski@bgalsWI

Very soon, some state GOP chairs that feel pressure from their own boards that hold them accountable on metrics and fundraising may start taking out their frustration on actual conservatives in retaliation for the status quo being questioned. It won’t always be obvious. Think quieter moves like clipping resources. Freedom Caucus guys like Tom Tiffany and Mike Alfonzo could be early targets. But this isn’t just Wisconsin. I’m watching several other states where this dynamic may surface. The swamp runs deeper than people think.

Wisconsin Secretary of State Sarah Godlewski posted on Wednesday that the "golf ball-sized hail" in her yard "[was] not normal," and insinuated climate change caused it. Devin Remiker, chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, doubled down. Let's examine their arguments:

Glad I can educate you on this topic, seems like you really need the help. Your deceptive chart counts the raw # of reports, which includes multiple reports from the same events and doesn’t disprove the point. Below more accurately shows the increase large hail events over time in WI. Btw— the definition of severe hail was updated by NWS in 2010 to >=.75in, so your thresholds are dumb too.

@MatthewCappucci If you’re going to “correct the record”, make sure right off the bat your second point isn’t wrong. NCEI data, graphic produced by Wisconsin State Climatology Office as labeled. Anyway, thanks for your work ahead of the storms tomorrow, WI appreciates it after a tough week!

Hi - I’d like to understand the following: 1) Are you stating that Governors can raise gas prices? I’ve never heard of this ability! 2) How is he hurting small businesses? Or are we just too lazy and incompetent (future county board campaign manager @devinremikerwi)? 3) What’s a “tariff-tax”?
