Cars are made from aluminium that can be recycled - batteries are made from nickel, graphite, cobalt and lithium and can be recycled (+-97%). You know what can’t be recycled? Fuel… because you literally burn it every time you use it. Also - burning gas at a power plant to charge an electric car gets you more kilometers driven than gas powered cars (Why hybrids exist).

The more likely reason why EV adoption is high is the lower cost of ownership over time.

Like with all his companies, it’s about attracting sufficient talent to complete the mission, not doing it all by yourself. This election more than any showed that there is a large voter pool trapped in the middle of two ideological extremes, and creating a party to represent them has higher odds of succeeding today. And if he, for the sake of your argument, only syphons votes from the republicans, they can still win, depending on finding agreements with the america party and forming a coalition larger than the democrats. Would be best if this wasn’t necessary, but now that it obviously is, I wish them all the best.

My message to @elonmusk Elon, I say this as someone who respects what you've built. But this isn't like creating a car company or launching rockets. This is politics. And politics doesn't reward innovation. It punishes it. It’s not about logic or truth or engineering your way out. It’s about power, narrative, and grinding loyalty. Nobody plays fair here. Nobody ever has. You just announced a third party. The American Party. But let’s be real for a second. If you're serious about making this party win, then you have to devote your entire life to it.
