@ClintFiore @UpchurchSam @TRUmav @EricTopol If you don’t mind sharing, I’m also interested in learning more.

@ZiaErica @JoshuaLisec @OwenGregorian And you are the one and only, Erica the Excellent.
Thanks for all you do for Scott and CWSA.

3 people we must thank on behalf of the Scott Adams community:
@OwenGregorian, for pulling daily headlines and stories for the show — thank you.
@ZiaErica the Excellent, for being the person we always tag when someone wants to buy Scott Adams mugs & merch. Thank you.
And of course @joelpollak, Scott’s forthcoming biographer; I am editor & publisher of that project. I’ll be talking about Joel a LOT going forward. Thank you.
If you love Scott as much as we do, please give all 3 of these legacy-protectors your follow.

@OwenGregorian Is Owen Gregorian
the poor man’s Adam Dopamine
Or is Adam Dopamine the poor man’s Owen Gregorian?
One of life’s great mysteries.
Thanks for all the great stories, Owen!

@sergiointucson @shonkori @OwenGregorian @ZiaErica @kevinsummers @MikebertPhD Yes and cost isn't the only metric.
I am sure you can think of times you are willing, if not enthusiastic, to pay more for a better product.
The problem is that government typically fails on cost and quality.
English

@AdamDopamine @shonkori @OwenGregorian @ZiaErica @kevinsummers @MikebertPhD Government involvement has never reduced the cost of anything ever.

As mentioned this morning on #CWSA Fareed goes full scorched earth; takes his party to the woodshed. 🔥

When government seems incapable of building housing, fixing schools or balancing budgets, even sympathetic voters lose faith. If Democrats want to rebuild that faith, they must rediscover the lost art of competence. My take:

@BowTiedGrey @elonmusk Daily? What’s the point of even having a robot?

The reason government programs are so inefficient is that, unlike a commercial company, the feedback loop for improvement is broken, because they have a state-mandated monopoly and can’t go out of business if customers are unhappy.
No matter how bad the service is at your DMV (sorry to pick on DMVs), you still have to use your DMV, because it’s a monopoly.

Florida (or any other state) could become the healthcare capital of the world if they took some "radical" steps.
Here's how they could do it:
- Repeal Certificate of Need (CON) Laws
- Deregulate Scope-of-Practice Restrictions - allow nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and pharmacists to perform certain duties currently reserved for physicians.
- End FDA Monopoly on Drug and Device Approval - do this at the state level or through private companies
- Mandate Price Transparency - require all providers, insurers, and pharma to publish real-time prices for every service/drug, with algorithms for cash-pay discounts
- Decouple Insurance from Employment (Tax Credits?) - replace employer-sponsored insurance (with universal, refundable health tax credits ($5K-$10K/person) usable for any plan, HSA, or direct care
- Legalize Medical Tourism and Importation - allow unrestricted personal importation of FDA-unapproved (but foreign-approved) drugs/devices and incentivize domestic providers to compete on global pricing. This is a massive money maker and brings in the best and brightest.
- Promote Telemedicine Without Borders - eliminate state licensure reciprocity barriers, allowing any U.S.-licensed provider to treat patients nationwide via telehealth
- Encourage Micro-Hospitals and Retail Clinics - subsidize or deregulate "micro-hospitals" and clinic chains in underserved areas, owned by local cooperatives or entrepreneurs
- Blockchain-Enabled Patient Data Ownership - mandate interoperable, patient-controlled health records on decentralized ledgers, ending hospital/insurer data silos
- Cap Malpractice Liability and Promote Arbitration - statewide tort reform capping non-economic damages at $250K and requiring pre-suit arbitration panels. Reduces defensive medicine.

Much of this requires the federal government to keep their nose out of state business, but it can be done.
It would require an aggressive governor, attorney general, and surgeon general.
Do @RonDeSantis @FLSurgeonGen @JamesUthmeierFL have the will or ability to get that done?
I don't know. Maybe some other red state does.

Democrats are going to do it. Act not or lose forever!

White House renovations increase maximum seating from ~200 to ~1000 guests.
