Mark Carney claims Canada is more affordable than it’s been in a decade — but let’s look at the numbers, shall we? The average working Canadian spends 42.3% of their income on taxes. Another 35.5% goes to housing, food and clothing. That’s 77.8% gone already… Add transportation, insurance, internet, phone and utilities… That’s another ~20%. 97% of your income is gone on necessities. Add $10k to $15k annually if you have a kid in either elementary or high school. Now add this: • About 50% of Canadians live paycheck to paycheck • 1 in 3 carry credit card debt month to month • Nearly half are $200 away from not paying their bills Yet our PM lies to our faces and people still support him. What will it take for Canadians to say ENOUGH?

You can’t win the game if your opponent is the only one with the scoreboard. 🕵️‍♂️🌾 Why is Canada one of the only major exporters without mandatory sales reporting? APAS is pushing for transparency so producers can see the same market signals as the big players. Leveling the playing field starts with sharing the data. #MarketTransparency #SaskAg #CdnAg #GrainMarketing #APAS #AgData

The knowledge is here. The resilience is here. The innovation is here. Saskatchewan agriculture has everything it takes to set the standard, not follow it. 👀 Do you agree? Register for the Agicultural Policy Framework Summit at APAS.ca #AgPolicy #APAS #Saskatchewan #FarmAdvocacy

Yesterday, we enhanced AgriStability to better support Saskatchewan’s livestock producers. By recognizing pasture costs and improving feed inventory calculations, we’re ensuring producers have the tools they need to manage risk and remain resilient.

Just to be clear for the non-nuance crowd. I am not a “pro-Trump” person. I am a “stop being fooled by the deflection person.” Trump is not in charge of Canada. He’s not responsible for our broken justice system, our broken immigration system, our housing crisis, our drug addiction tsunami, our inflation and our lack of economic growth. We are. And I’m sick of Canadians OBSESSING about things that are out of their control (aka America’s president) when they can’t even be bothered to pay attention to what’s happening HERE, to look at the unnecessary decline HERE, to look at the horrendous mistakes that our government is making HERE that put us in this unnecessarily vulnerable position. Blaming Trump is honestly just lazy. He’s causing issues, yes. But if you’re not calling out our own administration and all of its massive failures, you’re not being a patriot. You’re just being lazy and you’re contributing to the decline of Canada, letting the Liberals get away with murder while you just stew about the orange man who you can literally do nothing about. And if Trump really is the hill that you die on - maybe you should be calling out the guy that campaigned on getting us a deal.

Canada is splitting in two ideologically - on one side are elbozos who hate freedom and are willing to maintain the status quo at any cost. On the other side are groups of people who want their children and grandchildren to be free and are willing to do whatever it takes to achieve that goal. I’m not sure, given geopolitical events, that the country can remain united as a result.

Noble Person: I want to rape your dirty women. I want to destroy your heritage. I want to erase your culture. I want to destroy your civilization. I want to kill every single one of you who does not abide by my rules. I want to eliminate your freedoms. Empathetic Americans: This is very dangerous incitement to violence. We cannot allow such talk. Noble Person: Wait! My religion dictates me to do all of these things. You do believe in freedom of religion, no? You do believe in the First Amendment, no? Empathetic Americans: Oh, if your religion dictates it then rape and pillage away. We will not tolerate any bigotry against your religious edicts.

The Food Professor
The Food Professor@FoodProfessor·
Much of the media is celebrating the first anniversary of Mark Carney as Prime Minister, suggesting his first year in office has delivered significant progress. The data, however, tells a more complicated story. Canada currently posts the highest food inflation rate among G7 countries. The overall unemployment rate has remained largely unchanged, while youth unemployment continues to climb. The national deficit has nearly doubled. Interprovincial trade barriers—despite a commitment to eliminate them by July 1, 2025—remain firmly in place. Our tariff situation with the United States has deteriorated compared with when he took office. Meanwhile, several of the transformational projects announced months ago have yet to receive formal approval. Either there is something I’m missing, or parts of the media narrative surrounding the first year of Prime Minister Carney’s mandate are significantly disconnected from the underlying economic indicators.

Four judges have now confirmed that Justin Trudeau invoked the Emergencies Act illegally. The Federal Court of Appeal has dismissed the government’s appeal of Justice Mosley’s decision, confirming once again that the use of these extraordinary powers was unconstitutional. The Court was clear: “Cabinet… did not have reasonable grounds to believe that a threat to national security existed.” In other words, the legal threshold was never met. Instead of taking responsibility, Trudeau and his government spent years appealing the decision, using public resources while hoping the issue would fade from public attention. That behaviour runs directly against the principles of democracy and good governance. In a healthy democracy, leaders are accountable when they misuse extraordinary powers. When a leader unlawfully invokes emergency powers against his own citizens and then refuses to take responsibility, that is not leadership. It is a failure of judgment and accountability. And someone who failed so profoundly at home, and then ran from that failure, should not be elevated and invited to lecture the world about democracy on the global stage. @Prairielily22 In the summer, we are in MST with Alberta. If Alberta adopts the "always DST" as Sask has, then your map will look proper.

Forgive this Saskie if she's gotten this wrong because Daylight Savings Time just isn't something she needs to worry about ever but, if Alberta goes on permanent DST, wouldn't they be on the same time as Saskatchewan year-round? Most Albertans seem to be in favour of Mountain Standard Time though so there's be an hour difference year-round if they did that. Looking at a map of North American timezones, it actually seems like Saskatchewan should be in the Mountain Time zone instead of Central. If Alberta adopts year-round Mountain Standard Tjme, should Saskatchewan move over to that time zone or stay put?
