Indie kid. Big disliker of watermelons. Can people not agree to (politely) disagree anymore?

@NoContextBrits Yes there is. It’s a neat trick … turn it on its side and cut into slices with a sharp knife. Yum yum.

@Indie5051 The problem with big lists is they are so easily distorted by small number of votes at the bottom and by people choosing the big (rather than good) bands at the top. And there are always glaring omissions that no-one thought of mentioning.

@ErinGrieve17 So how come you aren’t paying taxes? Surely you’re really keen to be making a contribution to the exchequer’s woes?

If I was paying taxes I’d be pretty happy for some of that to go towards children getting a slice of toast and an apple because their parents need to get to work before school starts. What a bizarre thing to be angry about.
Julia Hartley-Brewer@JuliaHB1

The breakfasts are not free. They are paid for by taxes - mostly on parents who feed their own kids. Most of these 10,000 children would have had a perfectly healthy breakfast at home without these clubs. This isn't about helping the poorest kids, it's the state taking over the basic job of parenting.

The fact that a penny cannot be used to buy anything and is worth less than its copper content is proof that we need to do a redenomination of currencies, IMO. A 10-1 ratio (i.e. just knocking a zero off everything) would set us up for another century.

@nigelmp Long waits are not uncommon for non-residents in many countries - the US can be bad too. Fairly disappointing that a UK MP expects preferential treatment post-Brexit.

The EES exit/entry rollout is clearly a disaster leading to 4 hour queues and leading to planes leaving without passengers. I have been in lengthy queues to exit Athens recently and the queue was bordering on 2 hours long with staff pulling some passengers out of the queue to prevent them missing flights. Passengers are customers who will spend money on hotels, bars, restaurants and visitors attractions. The EU should look after their customers not treat them in such a cavalier way. Where there are huge queues they can temporarily suspend the scheme. They could bring in extra border staff as I have witnessed many booths unmanned in several EU airports. The recent debacle in Milan where over a hundred “customers” missed their planes was totally avoidable if only someone on a six figure salary would take control. This is not the fault of easyJet but intransigent systems. I came through uk passport control this week at Gatwick and the wait on e gates and manned gates was less than 1 minute. If we can do it- so can they ! The coming Summer holiday rush could be truly miserable !

Friends, stop drinking alcohol. Not cut back. Eliminate. > alcohol increases cortisol > disrupts REM sleep > accelerates epigenetic aging > shrinks hippocampal volume > elevates resting heart rate > raises inflammatory markers > impairs glucose metabolism for 16 hrs One drink does that.

@PulseHarmonix @SimonCalder If you’ve done register at the non-eu terminal once, that should be it. Use e-gates directly after that. The staff are no necessarily aware of this however and will direct you towards the terminals first, which will then tell you to go straight to e-gate.

🇬🇧 Tom - Investor £120K
The true cost of a £40,000 financed BMW: → Deposit: £5,000 → Monthly payments: £650 x 48 months = £31,200 → Balloon payment: £12,000 → Total paid: £48,200 → Car worth at end: £18,000 → Total loss: £30,200 £30,200 For something you never actually owned. That £30,200 invested in the S&P 500 instead = £97,000 in 15 years. We don’t have a cost of living crisis. We have a priority crisis.

AZEALIA BANKS
AZEALIA BANKS@iiwasinthee212·
David Cameron's Britain was the last aspirational Britain. The pound was at $1.70, The Chiltern Firehouse was hot, Sakura in Mayfair was open, - Everybody was well dressed and well spoken i used to LOOOOOOOVE Britain. I used to be able to frolic around outside at night in London. The amount of muslim women in raggedy fabrics walking around depressed like a bunch of slapped dogs, rapey south asian uber eats guys, idle africans in suspicious back packs and trash on the sidewalks is actually insane. You guys dont have the petit bourgeoisie islamique thing the French have going on. Islam x France is cunt AF, no shade i enjoyed the rest of my summer in France. But Britain now has a unique kind of insufferability that only stems from self-righteousness and stupidity. The fact that you lot thought it was clever to platform Palestine and were all chimping out over Hamas at open air music festivals , (There were palestine action recruitment tents at the festivals) when Oct 7 was LITERALLY terrorists running into an open air music festival and killing 1200 teenagers was absolutely sick. Jews aside... to think the concept of terrorists shooting up a music festival wouldnt SCARE THE SHIT OUT OF ME AND MAKE ME WEIRD ABOUT PERFORMING A PRO HAMAS EVENT ... Is absolute madness. Boomtown was doing Pro-palestine ticket lotteries, recruitment tents and basicallly branding the event that way. Not to mention the UK ALREADY having had a suicide bomber at an Ariana grande concert not long before that. your police cant keep you safe on a normal day, Who was going to make sure the festival was safe????? In addition to that, I am a New Yorker who lost loved ones in 9/11. You lot were dead fucking wrong to try and force that on me, and truly evil for depriving me of payment for shows I had booked well in advance and was specifically there to complete. And then celebrating me not getting paid, doing the bullshit public lynching shit u do. as if you taught me a lesson. That ravers for palestine person was some random white kid from Oxford. If when i signed contracts for those shows it said it was a pro-palestine event i wouldnt have fucking booked them. Now that the pound is down - the self righteous british bullshit doesnt hit the same. You guys think you ate it by banning kanye but the UK no longer has anything people really want or need. No more witty brits, Just rude Britain really fucking sucks now.
