Hi here is my thesis as to why $selfie is a billion dollar cultural movement.
In any kind of investing, you have to form a thesis before mass adoption occurs and it becomes consensus.
I see people continue to categorize the selfie meme alongside other dogs. While technically yes it is a cute dog meme, in reality, the selfie meme is a cultural movement expressed through photos. The cute dog is merely the vehicle by which people of all ages, genders, geographies, cultures, etc. are able to express themselves and capture snapshots of their lives.
There is NO LIMIT to this worldwide movement as it grows (see below selfies from ladies in our community). Think about the virality built into the ticker and the meme itself. Friends/family/neighbors investing in selfie and taking selfies building connection, making money, and most importantly having fun! Your favorite athlete, celebrity, influencer taking selfies with the doggo. Apple/Samsung ads with the selfie dog, etc.
Some memes like $moodeng are born out of already viral memes. Others like $wif, $doge, $selfie are social movements that gain more and more virality as mindshare and adoption grow over time.
This is why the selfie community will be holding selfie until it is listed on @coinbase, @binance, and other T1 exchanges. You can guess whatever valuation that will bring at that point.
