I don't think most Canadians realize how angry Albertans are at the abuses we have suffered from Ottawa. It's not just grievences, it is rage, and will we channel that rage into action. Democratic, non-violent, revolution.

I said I wouldn’t discuss Canadian politics anymore, but lately I’ve been too frustrated to stay silent. With everything happening in Canada right now, I feel completely defeated. The breaking point was reached long ago. There’s simply been too much, for too long. I’ve been called a traitor to my country. I’ve been told to change my username. Five years ago, when I created this X account, I was the proudest Canadian you could imagine. I’ve always been the proudest Canadian. Growing up in Ontario, I lived for Blue Jays games and skating the Rideau Canal with a beaver tail clutched in my mittened hand. My country represented equality, prosperous living and unity. I truly believed that I lived in the best country in the world. Then my family moved to Alberta, and slowly everything changed. The inequalities imposed on Alberta became impossible to ignore—and they’ve only grown wider and more blatant over time. Canada brands Albertans as traitors for even thinking of leaving, yet offers no meaningful remedy for the structural unfairness that was baked into Confederation from the start. Alberta was locked into a permanently lesser value within the federation, forced to live under an unfairly calculated formula forever. The rest of the country demands endless transfers, equalization payments, and extravagant royalties, while simultaneously biting the hand that feeds it by deliberately obstructing the development of the very resources that bankroll those expectations. We want a divorce.
