It started with someone randomly sending me 17,000/- for 10 packs of reusable sanitary pads for ‘any needy girls’. Then the subsequent fundraiser to top up got us more 642 packs (10,922,000/-) from you. And now @AFRIpads has doubled our contributions by topping up with 660 more packs (11,220,000/-), plus appropriate undergarments and user guides to accompany all the pads. A young Ugandan woman by name Fortunate Kyarikunda has been SENTENCED TO 6 Years in prison for refusing to marry a buisness man that sponsored her in school since 2015 .
They started dating in 2015 , in 2018 they had an agreement that they’ll marry and the man decided to sponsor everything about her.
In 2026 the woman SAID NO to his proposal and the man took the matter to Court.
After presenting evidence beyond reasonable doubt, the Rukungiri District court found the young woman guilty and sentenced her to 6 YEARS IN PRISON.
Evidence showed that the man has been taking care of her for 11 years till she graduated.

The story of @sabiti_edwin continues to get sweeter. Before he joined @MakerereLaw he promised me to get a CGPA of 4 as I assured him that that’s the best way to get into Harvard. Indeed he got the CGPA, promised me to get a first class at LDC and did it. Then we agreed that he applies to Harvard and I was sure he would be admitted. Finally, I am glad that he was not only admitted but also got TOTAL financial aid. The boy from St. Kaggwa High School is going to @Harvard_Law for his LLM on full scholarship. Congratulations Edwin. You have made me very proud. It’s so good to see those close to you keep winning. AMDG

@IanNdamwesiga Why? Young lawyers are struggling with low pay or no pay in most law firms, then there is law council that takes 2yrs to enroll them - is all this because of LDC? Kenya School of Law has a monopoly over the bar course, but are young lawyers in Kenya suffering like the ones here?
