@CdnElectWatch That's exactly what I was thinking. Probably a mix of better housing and lack of wokeness

Quebec, on the other hand, has near-Scandinavian levels of happiness. Perhaps not coincidentally, it doesn't have insane housing prices and escaped the worst of Anglosphere wokeness and populist backlash.
Simon Bilodeau@brahman_SB

10 years since Trump destroyed neoconservatism: * The U.S. is at war with Iran on the basis of fake WMD's * Record military spending * Israel less restrained than ever * Iraq War cheerleader Mark Levin anointed the true voice of MAGA * The most neocon candidate of the 2016 Republican field is now favoured to be Trump’s successor

@mtracey Yup, fake negotiations, feigning ignorance, leaking to the press that his relationship with bibi has gone south are all tactics he's used before.

This can be assumed to be a lie. The idea that the US "knows nothing" about Israel's targeting decisions, and these are not coordinated with the US, is laughable. Trump has also feigned ignorance of Israel's actions before (eg, June 13 sneak attack) only to admit knowledge later

@NickKouvalis He might be completely lying tho. Maybe he knew and he's just threatening Iran hoping they'll get too scared to carry on retaliating.

@MostlyPeaceful They evidently sidelined him after he was suspected of leaking. The FBI began monitoring him as they fed him information that he would leak. Evidently he figured out that he was being investigated and quit to get ahead of it…

@gddub Worst case scenario for PP is Rogan complains about Canada (fentanyl, MAiD) the whole time and PP barely pushes back, further reinforcing the idea that he's not Canada first.

THIS WILL BREAK THE INTERNET! (it won't) but here are my predictions of the different outcomes: 1) Poilievre will look bad because Rogan will call him out for his short comings as a "conservative" 2) Rogan will look bad here because he will agree to play softball with Poilievre and let an uncharismatic establishment dweeb dictate a safe sanitized conversation for political reasons 3) it will be a combination of the above 4) Poilievre will actually use this as an oppourtunity to re-invent himself to start pushing harder to move the overton window on Immigration and Transgenderism in Canada. I sincerely hope its 4 but I doubt it.

@prairiecentrist They're trying to squeeze us. They know their voter base dislikes us so they're fueling anti-Canadian sentiment to implicitly threaten us. You'll be seeing thousands of american accounts talking about how Canadians abuse U.S workers. It's an obvious tactic we need to counter.

@JohnSpelman17 @Brad_Setser The U.S and Canada won't run out of oil for sure, but since it's an open market, our producers will just sell the oil overseas and prices will go up.

Misanthropes have insisted for years that there's no housing shortage, just too-rapid population growth, so now we've got literally unprecedented demographic retreat and houses still cost $1M for a rotting bungalow but on the other hand the misanthropes still aren't happy, so,

When Canadians learn what algorithmic pricing actually means, the reaction is immediate. Half say it should not be allowed. Public opinion on this technology is far more skeptical than many businesses might assume. New research from Abacus Data: abacusdata.ca/canadians-are-…
