A Reading Guide to Chinese Biotech Some friends and I visited China to learn about its biotech ecosystem. Beforehand, we assembled a list of 51 "high signal" books, podcasts, and articles to help us prepare. During the trip, we also asked people who *they* followed for their news on China, and then we added many of those names to this guide. Hopefully this will be a useful resource for folks who are planning to visit (which I recommend, especially if you work in drug development.)

so far the big point pro-peptide people are going with is: BPC157 is going to be used (regardless of this vote), so it ought to be regulated basically the grey market sourcing issue vs getting it from "safe" sources the problem is they are skipping the step where we actually determine whether the peptide is safe itself

Pet peeve of the day: stop saying you’re “agnostic” to something (eg, indication, modality) when you really mean “openminded.” Hopefully you *know* what eg indication/modality you’re working with!

Side note: Why does Repatha sell so much more than Praluent? Sanofi generated ~$174m ROW sales in the latest quarter. Regeneron only sold $67m in the US. Repatha generates more revenue in US than ROW. Praluent was launched 1 month before Repatha. Feels like a complete commercial failure.
