Introducing Libramen. The agent economy is here. Headless services and buy-now buttons are trivial; transactions are already happening. But real-world services don't work that way. They require a scoping and qualification process before a transaction can take place. Libramen solves this so agents can transact autonomously with IRL services. Now your agents can do anything from booking an event space with catering for your hackathon to hiring a contractor to clean your pool. Link below.

I’ve been in SF for barely a day. Already had 3 spontaneous conversations with people building seriously cool shit. Such a welcomed shift compared to Auckland honestly.

i haven't yet met a person who is actually using an agent for commerce and i'd really like to change that. who is live with agentic commerce? what are you purchasing with it? how? why??? i've had many convos about this but feels like lots of talk and not so much walk (yet!)

Agents are transacting easily with buy now buttons and headless services, but real-world services require scoping and qualification before confirmed. Libramen solves this using a new primitive. Second time founder - first venture gave the unique insights, have been building service-industry commerce agents since 2024 (they're a lot better now with new models).

I'm beyond excited to announce that I’m joining @Lightspeed as a Partner on the early-stage investing team and helping to build everything they're doing in new media. I've spent the last six years investing in early-stage companies, and the last year building a media platform in parallel. What started as a side quest has reached 350,000+ followers and millions of viewers a month. For me, investing and storytelling have always been two halves of the same job. This work has put me in rooms with incredible founders, researchers, and operators - many of whom have become close friends, collaborators, and early stage bets. There's so much happening at the frontier right now, and the media platform has given me a way to be in those conversations early (and to bring the people I admire most into a wider audience). When Lightspeed reached out, we saw the same opportunity. Venture and media are converging, and the next generation of great firms will need to show up differently: reaching founders and builders before they've even started a company, and being the place where people first get excited about what's happening in tech. With more than $50 billion in AUM, Lightspeed has been building alongside founders at the frontier of technology for decades. It's a firm I've admired for years since I started investing - for its intellectual rigor, its long-term conviction, and the way it approaches company building. I’m excited to join a team that brings real depth and substance to its work, and I hope to bring that same ethos to everything I put out. Thank you to @ravi_lsvp, @bsomaia , and @Machiz for believing in this vision and trusting me to help build it. I’m so excited to see what we do together. If you're an early-stage founder, building or thinking about starting something, or just curious about this ecosystem - please reach out. My DMs are open and I’d love to chat!

@patrickc Gravity is the big one. We can observe its effects plenty, but not its quantum mechanism. It's the odd one out among the fundamental forces.

Which are the most common everyday phenomena that we don't properly understand? Off the top of my head: • Lightning (how does it happen?) • Sleep; dreams (why do they exist?) • Glass (thermodynamics of formation) • Turbulence (when does it start?) • Morphogenesis (how does a creature know what should go where?) • Rain (it seems to start faster than models would predict) • Ice (dynamics of slipperiness) • Static electricity (which material will donate electrons?) • General anaesthetic. (And the mechanism of a lot of drugs, e.g. paracetamol.)

I was insanely nervous the first time I applied to YC. I agonized about it for weeks. When I look at it now, that application was so embarrassingly bad. But it was a start. And it directly led to getting in to YC W22. And that changed my life. The deadline is today. All you need is an idea. If you need last minute feedback, my DMs are open. We try to pay it forward and help as many people as we can.

folk has <100 early users who burned billions of tokens in their first 24 hours. the amount of use cases people come up with is insane, whether it's automating your x feed or spawning 100 claude code sessions in parallel. the ai is changing like crazy and only people who can intuitively automate big parts of their life will win if you want to try it, dm me. we are going to limit access to 500 people only.
