So I was at the mall the other day and this has been on my mind..... It was lunchtime so I decided to buy some sushi in the cafeteria. I grabbed the sushi which had a clearly labeled price on it $17.99. I went to the counter to pay. The worker didn't look me in the eyes and rung up $25.99 on the till. I pointed out the price was $17.99. He just said "oh". Changed the price and said "will that be all"? I said "yes, thank you". He never apologized or acknowledged he got it wrong. I was in disbelief. It just made me think that society has lost common decency and etiquette. Am I over reacting or am I right?

It's genuinely hilarious how mad some people still get about this roadkill eating stuff. Or the dumpster-diving, no 9-to-5, cheap house, all that. I mean it makes some people irrationally ANGRY. They can't even say why. Convinced we're "living in squalor," exposing our baby to "dangerous conditions," dressing "like medieval LARPers," etc. They hold some kind of delirious grudge over it. Folks, we live in a normal house in Upstate NY with a pantry full of goods we purchased at the store. We have running water, power, a wood stove, a propane heater, and it's almost never under 55f in the house. I generate income that is several times what we spend in a month. We eat normal meals composed of normal foods. Yes, we've chosen to eat roadkill before, which is common in rural areas anyhow. We've dumpster-dove extensively before, but don't always (if it's going to waste anyway, why not take it?). We keep expenses well under $1k/mo. And I have no boss and no mortgage. Oh, and I started from nothing -- anyone could do what we are doing. My wife does dress like a woman instead of a man (no pants), and doesn't remove the visible signs of puberty from her body with a razor. And I do not wear T-shirts, rise to an alarm clock, or ask another man if I can have a day off. We do what we like because we are frugal. It's great. We post about it for fun and to inspire others who might be fed up with "the 4HL" and so on. Those getting mad at this are telling on themselves way more than anything. It's honestly just sad.

All of you people acting like you never had to call the fire department or police to help Jimmy stick your fucking car door because you locked your keys in it. Or your stupid cat chip got stuck up a fucking tree and the fire department came to help get it down! There's nothing wrong with calling the only available service for help and telling them it's not an emergency. The reactions on here are ridiculous, and speak a lot about the people posting them. You're all trashing her and you have no idea who she is or what her life is like. All you know from the videos that she's a single mom who was dealing with a critical situation and didn't know what to do. Calling her a cat lady because she doesn't have a man in the house is utterly pathetic. Every man who's talking shit about this woman should be ashamed of yourself, and go ahead and turn in your man card because it's been revoked.

This woman was awoken to a loud crash, she ran down stairs and saw that the dryer fell off of the washer. She’s here alone and tried to pick it back up but it’s just too heavy. The only thing she could think of is to call 9-1-1. The police and fire department came out and was able to help her put it back. She’s being heavily criticized for calling an emergency line for what they consider a non emergency. But if you are a woman living alone with nobody to help you when something like this happens, was it appropriate for her to call 9-1-1?
