@OCD_OneCoolDude @joeroganhq I am reality boy. Just so you know, you won’t survive, in fact, you would probably be one of the first to go down. Fuck humility, it’s for losers. Btw laddie, your Mr. Miagi bullshit is muted 😂🖕🤡

Troy was so good. But you have to realize people at the time thought this was a B movie. The Lord of the Rings movies had just come out. Gladiator was only a few years old. Pirates of the Caribbean was the year before. We just thought movies would be good forever.

@BroncosCanWeWin @SugaSeanMMA Fair enough, dude looked like he was adrenaline dumping the first time I watched it, shaking and shit. Nah, just gesticulating and saying weird shit.

@Amp1552 @SugaSeanMMA Brother… do you watch ufc? That’s his whole persona 😭

@CoreyLeander @MonsterNole08 @MattWhitlock @MakeUSAVAT from future administrations or local DAs. That’s why the Court drew the line at absolute immunity for core powers and presumptive for official acts.
English

@CoreyLeander @MonsterNole08 @MattWhitlock @MakeUSAVAT single explicit Founding-era quote on criminal immunity.That said, the opposing view of near-total vulnerability for official acts has even weaker textual or historical support and would create worse real-world problems: a presidency chilled by the constant threat of prosecution
English

@CoreyLeander @MonsterNole08 @MattWhitlock @MakeUSAVAT No, no man. You said what I listed previously was all SCOTUS "opinion" making it sound like they're just "winging it". They aren't. There is precedent. So you're wrong. The RULING FROM SCOTUS IS WHAT GRANTS RELEVANT IMMUNITY. Intentionally misunderstanding
English

@Amp1552 @MonsterNole08 @MattWhitlock @MakeUSAVAT The Take Care Clause gives Trump criminal immunity? Shouldnt it do the opposite?
I've read it. They found that Trump directing the DOJ to create fake letters alleging election-altering fraud, & then sending them to states to induce them to revoke their Biden electors, was immune
English

@CoreyLeander @MonsterNole08 @MattWhitlock @MakeUSAVAT The Take Care Clause, found in Article II, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution - not a SCOTUS "opinion"
Only immune to RELEVANT criminal prosecution IN OFFICE. To answer your question, though,... the ruling... from 6 SCOTUS members with a J.D. minimum...

English

@Amp1552 @MonsterNole08 @MattWhitlock @MakeUSAVAT Yes that's the SCOTUS opinion, lol. That's not a quote from it.
What precisely gives Trump criminal immunity though?
English

@CoreyLeander @MonsterNole08 @MattWhitlock @MakeUSAVAT supremecourt.gov/opinions/23pdf…
Article II - vesting of executive power, the Take Care Clause, and historical separation-of-powers precedents to define absolute immunity for core constitutional acts and presumptive immunity for official acts...
English

@Amp1552 @MonsterNole08 @MattWhitlock @MakeUSAVAT They’re all equally guilty. Theres no grounding in Article II or reference to it in making the decision. Criminal laws by Congress do not impede on executive & never have before. POTUS no longer has a duty to take care the laws are faithfully executed.
English

@CoreyLeander @MonsterNole08 @MattWhitlock @MakeUSAVAT I mean, it definitely is since you're attributing a court ruling entirely to one man, 6-3 btw. It's a separation-of-powers ruling grounded in Article II and historical precedent, not one man's invention. I'm not buying an X sub just to argue a tired talking point, though.
English

@Amp1552 @MonsterNole08 @MattWhitlock @MakeUSAVAT Feelings? I'm just talking about the law. Have you ever read con law? There's no support in there for Trump v US, granting absolute and presumptive criminal immunity to POTUS
English

@CoreyLeander @MonsterNole08 @MattWhitlock @MakeUSAVAT It just makes you look like another partisan hack who only cries 'politics' when the outcome doesn't match your feelings. IU must not have covered basic civics or logic, huh?
English

@CoreyLeander @MonsterNole08 @MattWhitlock @MakeUSAVAT So the guy sitting on the Supreme Court, one of the most powerful positions in the entire judiciary, is somehow 'lying about the law for political purposes' just because his rulings affect public affairs? No shit. Every Supreme Court decision is political by nature.

@ScottJenningsKY Radical Democrats damn themselves enough, we don't need to make shit up. Just makes me feel like I need to fact check the shorts I see from you more often.
English

@ScottJenningsKY I mean, I love ya Scott and hate Mayor Bass with a burning passion but that's not what she said. The proposed question was about non-citizens. She even specified Green Cards, basically the only exception but even then seek naturalization if voting is important. Deceptive rhetoric

🇺🇸 The first openly LGBT judge in Texas has agreed to a lifetime ban from the bench after having a defense attorney handcuffed in her own courtroom.
Judge Rosie Speedlin Gonzalez ordered the attorney into custody mid-hearing after an argument over whether she'd coached her client to change his plea.
The lawyer was cuffed and placed in the jury box until she agreed to "conduct herself professionally."
Gonzalez faced up to 20 years on felony unlawful restraint charges. Those were dropped Monday, the same day she signed the resignation agreement.
She can still officiate weddings, as long as she doesn't wear a robe or mention she was ever a judge.

@Rimer_Chris @leadpile @MarioNawfal Read the article? The final outcome appears to be:
she resigned,
accepted a lifetime judicial ban,
the ethics complaints were resolved through that agreement,
and the criminal indictment was dismissed by the special prosecutor “in the interest of justice.”
