After four years of house prices doubling (and in some areas, tripling) many young people feel priced out of the American Dream of homeownership. A welfare fraud scandal in Minnesota reveals that large numbers of new arrivals aren't assimilating and are funneling our tax dollars to literal terrorist groups. An innocent woman was set on fire in Chicago as the mayor resists federal law enforcement resources to bring peace to one of our great cities. The Obamacare insurance system is buckling under its own weight. And the country is $38 trillion in debt. Our administration is working hard on addressing all of these problems. But you know what really fires up the beltway GOP? Not any of the above. Instead, the political class is really angry that the Trump administration may finally bring a four year conflict in Eastern Europe to a close. I'm not even talking about the substance of their views. Much of what these people have said about the Ukraine war has been proven wrong, but whatever. We can agree to disagree. But the level of passion over this one issue when your own country has serious problems is bonkers. It disgusts me. Show some passion for your own country.

I don't think people understand what is happening as an undercurrent in North Carolina. There are leftist communists from South America and radical Islamists bringing people to North Carolina. They hide them in small towns and big cities. They provide a closed community and under the table jobs. They openly advertise to come here. They fund citizenship and voting enrollment campaigns here. They use the citizenship they gain to bring more of them. It's the breeding and spreading of radical ideology right under our noses. Couple that with the no bail policies/lax enforcement & sentencing for the dregs of society, and you have a recipe for disaster in North Carolina. Don't believe me? Go look up some of the Latin American groups and see who is on their boards and who funds them. Then go look up the number of mosques across North Carolina. You can't see their meetings, but we saw their groups go to D.C. from Charlotte and Durham to burn the American flag in a Palestinian protest. People were charged for crimes in that protest-right here in Charlotte and Durham.

I can't tell you how many interviews I've done where I've been asked: If Trump's policies are so problematic, why are U.S. stocks rising so rapidly. A bit of international context illustrates the real issue here. U.S. stocks have dramatically underperformed other advanced economies.

A glut of housing supply is building in the Southern U.S. Home builders now have 9.6 months of supply on their lots — the 2nd-highest in 40 years. The long-term average is just 5.7 months, meaning the South is 68% oversupplied today. That’s good news for buyers. All this inventory points to more price declines ahead in Southern states.
