Glad to see our @JAMANetworkOpen study out. The study brings attention to the growing healthspan-lifespan gap across the world and reveals the largest gap in the US. The study documents a larger healthspan-lifespan gap in women associated with a disease burden disparity.

@SularzAgata @JAMANetworkOpen Thanks! We show that sex disparity in the gap is associated with sex disparity in the disease morbidity burden. We dissect this for the US where musculoskeletal, genitourinary, and neurological diseases impose the greatest differential morbidity burden on women (Figure 5B).
