I vibe-coded an app. Saas is finally dead! I was too cheap, so instead of paying $15 a month, I tried to vibecode an email sending app using Claude Spent $150 on a dedicated physical server from a hosting provider, just because all the cloud providers block port 25 so you cant send out emails. Spent $200 on claude code the max plan because the $20 plan kept hitting the limit every 60 minutes. Spent 3 weeks building it, so instead of getting paid $500 a day as a developer, I spent all day vibecoding my app. 3 weeks later, the app is finally built, and I am actually sending emails with it. I did it, and seems that saas is really dead The main issue I face is that every email lands in spam, and sometimes my email queue gets jammed at 2AM because postfix configuration is not right or something. AI doesnt really know the depths of postfix So if i dont wake up at 2 AM to restart my Ubuntu server, all emails are queuing and overnight sending stops. Other than that is great. Thing is after all the time and money I spent on this, I could have easily paid 5 years' worth of subscriptions on an email sending app. Next month im cancelling my Claude subscription, cancel my server, and deleting this vibecoded app. I will subscribe to one of those services. Is Saas really dead? Draw your own conclusions Obviously, this is a pamphlet post, but most likely the truth in 98% of the cases of vibecoded apps.

@businessbarista It depends. Most companies do not appreciate level 4 and level 5 employees. They get used to it and in the end you have to work more than others with no benefits.

I stole this idea and now use it with every single employee. It’s the best illustration I’ve seen of teaching someone to be high agency. It says there are 5 levels of work: Level 1: “There is a problem.” Level 2: “There is a problem, and I’ve found some causes.” Level 3: “Here’s the problem, here are some possible causes, and here are some possible solutions.” Level 4: “Here’s the problem, here’s what I think caused it, here are some possible solutions, and here’s the one I think we should pick.” Level 5: “I identified a problem, figured out what caused it, researched how to fix it, and I fixed it. Just wanted to keep you in the loop.” Using this framework, here’s what I say to every new employee… You will live at Level 4 from Day 1 and as we build trust you will rise to Level 5. Being high agency doesn’t just mean tackling problems in this way. It means your entire way of working should be oriented to being a Level 4+ employee. Plz feel free to steal it as well. And ty @stephsmithio for the framework!

Imagine being a Japanese person who is short MetaPlanet. It hit a limit up yesterday at 933 YEN and stopped trading. Today it’ll open up at 2205 YEN and immediately limit up and stop trading. You can’t cover. All you can do is shit your pants and cry for mercy. And repeat.

@Sina_21st But this means that in future he needs to use a part of the 'income" for covering the dividends and therefore the BTC "yield" will decrease over time? And in this case he needs more buyers to cover the dividends. Or in short he needs fresh new money to cover his debt?

MSTR is structured to stop the mNAV from rising too much. The moment the price wants to outperform Bitcoin, they will dilute in several ways. Plus they have now added a perpetual drag to the price due to the bond yields they have to pay. When BTC goes up, hype accelerates, mNAV rises, and MSTR will recycle that back into treasury. Ultimately mNAV mean-reverts. When BTC goes down or sideways, hype dies, mNAV contracts. So either way the case for outperformance pf the stock price is weakened now. If you trade it and sell into the hype it is nice. But for a long-term holder I don’t anticipate massive outperformance vs. BTC. I still have not heard of one MSTR guru mentioning how these yield products will add a drag to the stock price. Perverse incentives.

@dylanleclair If Bitcoin gets a fork. Blackrock can decide, which one is the one to support (ETF). But what happens with the coins on the "not-supported" chain? Do they belong Blackrock? What if they create an ESG friendly chain? PoS? They then would own all the coins on the PoW, right?

@TheGuySwann But blackrock have the keys so are they then the owner of the bitcoins, which are on the not supported network because the supported network coins belong to the customer. Win win for black rock... Again not your keys not your coin. Especially with ETF and a fork incoming....

If Blackrock forked, kicked off the next bear, and there was a huge controversy over which was the “real” Bitcoin, it would be an astounding opportunity for people who understand Bitcoin to stack more at the cost of those who don’t. I wouldn’t even be upset. A billion people would learn about forks and who decides what Bitcoin is. Spoiler: it won’t be Blackrock.
WOLF@WOLF_Financial

Looks like Blackrock might be trying to fork Bitcoin. Don’t believe me? Their SEC filings suggest I’m right. If you own Bitcoin, you need to read this 👇

THE BIGGEST LIQUIDATION SINCE 2021! WHY DOES THE MARKET DUMP AND WIPE ALMOST $2 BILLION TRADES IN JUST 24 HOURS? HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED: 1. COINBASE TRADERS STARTED THE SELL-OFF. COINBASE TRADERS BEGAN SELLING 1 HOUR BEFORE THE MAJOR DUMP. THE SELL PRESSURE PUSHED THE LIQUIDATION LIKE A DOMINO. 2. LIQUIDATION CASCADE TRIGGERED THE BIGGEST DROP. ONCE THE MARKET HIT A KEY LIQUIDATION ZONE, IT WAS GAME OVER. - OVERLEVERAGED POSITIONS STARTED TO CLOSE. - STOP-LOSSES WERE TRIGGERED, CREATING A CHAIN REACTION. 3. THE MARKET WAS OVERHEATED - FUNDING FEES WERE SPIKING (A SIGN OF EXCESSIVE LONGS). - OPEN INTEREST WAS RISING RAPIDLY (TOO MANY TRADERS PILING IN). THEN SOMETHING INTERESTING HAPPENED... 1. STRONG BUYING PRESSURE EMERGED ON ETH ETH DOESN'T EXPERIENCE MUCH DRAWDOWN COMPARED TO BTC. THE VOLUME IS THERE TOO. 2. UNUSUAL SELL-OFF IN XRP THE XRP’S LOW LIQUIDITY MADE THE MOVE WORSE. XRP MAY HAVE A LARGE MARKET CAP, BUT ITS LIQUIDITY IS STILL THIN. THIS IS WHY XRP CAN SURGE HUNDREDS OF % OR CRASH OUT OF NOWHERE. 3. MASSIVE VOLUME IN ADA, USDC & FDUSD WHEN THE DUMP STARTED, THESE THREE SAW INSANE VOLUME. ---- AFTER A LIQUIDATION LIKE THIS, HERE’S WHAT USUALLY HAPPENS: - LIQUIDATIONS WIPE OUT WEAK HANDS. - SMART MONEY BUYS THE DIP AT A DISCOUNT. - THE PRICE SNAPS BACK QUICKLY. THE DUMP CLEARS OUT WEAK POSITIONS, AND THE STRONG HANDS STEP IN.

@JoshMandell6 Maybe I cannot sell tmrw due to tax laws and holding laws (Swiss tax law 6 months). Therefore with my fixed capital I gained certain additional bitcoins per shares. Of course the end game is to outperform bitcoin to be able to acquire more BTC. Leveraged BTC + fiat loop hole

Allow me to debate, Mace. If I have $95,000 and I can buy 250 shares of $MSTR at $380 or One BTC at current price of $95k, let's consider the case where I buy 250 shares. For ease of calculation, $MSTR pops up to $760 instantly. BTC per share has done nothing. There is no active ATM at the time (as is quite often the case) so BTC per share is going to have to wait for him to file. I sell half of my shares, buy one $BTC and now I have 125 shares worth $95,000 and one $BTC worth $95,000. What I have demonstrated is my own ability to take profits by selling some MSTR and then move the proceeds into Bitcoin all by myself. The whole BTC per share thing is @Saylor's way of saying, "See what I did for you?" In reality I took the risk and doubled my money and exploited the valuation difference as we all have done for years. It may look like he can do it for you, but you really don't end up owning that $BTC like I do now. Instead of letting him dampen down the $MSTR price hike by selling tons of shares to buy more captive $BTC, I might want to sell my own $MSTR and get back to stacking #Bitcoin.
Mason@MasonFoard

In the long term, $MSTR shareholders should focus on increasing BTC per share (not the fiat price of MSTR stock). BTC per share (BPS) is the most critical metric. However, when leveraging options (and consequently shortening your time horizon by some degree), the $MSTR share price becomes crucial, as it becomes a deterministic factor in success. It’s helpful to frame $MSTR as experiencing periods of either Compression or Expansion. There are many factors influencing these dynamics, but here are a few key ones (not necessarily correlated): Compression: Tapping the ATM, BTC consolidating, Market Fear Expansion: Pre-Earnings Blackout Period, BTC breakout, Market Greed For those betting long, capturing a period of expansion within the chosen timeframe is essential. MSTR ▪️ the big premium debate … what is the appropriate premium for NAV. Let me help explain … MSTR is a growth company. MSTR is built on an asset growing 50% a year and growing with that asset. If you review the market for common multiples for growth companies … if you have a 20% growth company often times they are valued at 25-40x, 30% 35-55x, 40% 45-70x and a company growing 50% is oftentimes valued at 60-100x and Bitcoin is growing 50%! Per the latest earnings call, Saylor said his personal view is that over 21 years Bitcoin will grow at a 29% ARR and backwards it’s definitely growing faster!! So… how do you value the worth of MSTR’s Bitcoin treasury operation (not the balance sheet, not the reserves, just the operation)… If you expect 30-50% growth for Bitcoin it is not unreasonable to have a 30-50 multiple for that growth and a 30-50x multiple means if you look at the 6-10% annual BTC yield target, 30x10 = 300% premium to NAV, 50x10 = 500% premium to NAV … so you are talking about an operation that’s 3-5x NAV and then if you tack on the actual treasury you are then talking about an enterprise that could be 80-100bn. #MicroStrategy #Saylor #Bitcoin
