After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC. May God bless America.

Big day in the VUMC cath lab!! Today, we successfully performed 3 Evoque TTVR procedures — all using intracardiac echo (ICE) only and under MAC sedation. No TEE. No general anesthesia. Streamlined, efficient, and patient-centered. This is more than just procedural success — it’s a shift in how we think about TTVR: · Less invasive · Faster recovery · Expanded access for higher-risk patients A true game changer in structural heart interventions. Grateful to be pushing the field forward and building on the pioneering work of my friend Pradeep Yadav. The future of TTVR is here — and it’s simpler, smarter, and safer.

Multivitamin supplementation slows biological aging.
Older adults taking a daily multivitamin for 2 years reduced their pace of epigenetic aging by 0.1–0.2 years compared with placebo. The effect was strongest in people with accelerated biological aging.
Interestingly, cocoa flavanol supplementation showed no effect on epigenetic aging in the same trial.
The effect is small, but it adds to evidence from the COSMOS trial, where multivitamin supplementation improved cognitive function, despite showing no clear benefits for cancer, cardiovascular disease, or all-cause mortality.
The data challenge the idea that multivitamins are “completely useless," even if their benefits appear modest and context-dependent.

A new Swedish study followed nearly a million women for 18 years after HPV vaccination — and found zero sign of protection fading.
Combined with fresh US data showing cervical cancer rates falling fastest where vaccination is highest, the evidence is now hard to argue with: the HPV vaccine doesn't just work, it keeps working.
