Proud to stand with fellow Iowans today, including the Iowa Adjutant General, Major General Stephen Osborn. Since 2011, the Iowa National Guard has been the backbone of Kosovo’s security, proving that American leadership starts in our Heartland. The "Whole of Iowa" partnership is a world-class model of excellence. We are projecting American strength and pride, ensuring our values and security endure globally.

Chargé d’Affaires Anu Prattipati is pleased to welcome the United States Permanent Representative to NATO @USAmbNATO Ambassador Matthew Whitaker to the U.S. Embassy during his visit to Kosovo. The visit is an opportunity to discuss shared security interests and Kosovo’s continued role in contributing to U.S. regional and global security priorities.

Honoured to welcome the United States Permanent Representative to NATO, Matthew Whitaker. I expressed my appreciation for the United States’ steadfast support for Kosova. We also discussed political developments, regional security, and close coordination among allies.

With Kosovo formally an independent state and diplomatic relations established, the next step was to reflect that relationship in our diplomatic presence. On April 8, 2008, the status of the U.S. Mission in Pristina officially changed from a U.S. Office to a U.S. Embassy. As a result, the official title of the mission became U.S. Embassy Pristina. This change followed the establishment of diplomatic relations between the United States and the Republic of Kosovo on February 18, 2008, one day after Kosovo declared independence on February 17, 2008. #Freedom250 #AmericanExcellence #KosovoJourneyToFreedom🇽🇰🇺🇸

The hour of freedom has come for the people of Iran, thanks to the leadership of the United States and President @realDonaldTrump. As always, the Republic of Kosovo unwaveringly stands with the United States and its allies in defending freedom, peace, security, and stability. We also strongly condemn the attacks of the Iranian regime against our allies in the Middle East. We will continue to support the actions undertaken by the United States and other allies to put an end to the Iranian regime and finally give freedom and peace a chance.

Today, the Commander of the #NATO-led #KFOR mission, Major General Özkan Ulutaş, met with the Commander of the Kosovo Security Force, Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, in Pristina. #TogetherStrongerForPeace
