I just created a sidebar Dock for MacOS, and it feels amazing to use. Every app has a vertical sidebar these days, why doesn't the OS itself have it?

OpenAI have secretly adjusted our limits. Last week before limit reset. I was using Xhigh all day. 5 day straight i couldn’t get my usage below 55% weekly usage. Since Yesterday, I’ve done 40% of my quota, out of nowhere. So whats going on ? @thsottiaux @sama @OpenAIDevs

don't get me wrong, i love building startups but every time i'm about to launch, i get a little heart attack that i missed an important bug that's why i made gauntlet :) just drop your url and get a swarm of 12 ai agents to battle test your app before your users do

@vanilagy Very different value propositions albeit they are sometimes interchangeable. Deno’s main selling point is that it’s highly compatible with browser based environments and serverless, has import maps by default… Bun is amazing at server side

Why is it that Bun is talked about so much, yet I hear barely anything about Deno these days? Deno's even already written in Rust! (lol) Is it better marketing? The "backwards compatible" approach of Bun? What is it?

Bun's Rust rewrite is pretty impressive, but the code is..... well, I'm no Rust expert, but I'm really interested in what will be the strategy to maintain it, if the rewrite is to be kept. Like, it is impossible to maintain current codebase for humans, no chance. Will the team become fulltime fuzzers and benchmarkers for whatever Claude generates? Or will they do another infinite tokens dump to make it into "idiomatic" Rust? Regardless of what happens, Bun is the perfect guinea pig for such experiments - it's a real world project with some real adoption, but ultimately stakes are very low, because there are alternative runtimes that you can just switch to if it turns out to be bad

@BenjDicken That’s all software engineering has ever been: translation. From ideas to code to machine code to circuitry. What’s impressive is not the translation piece, it’s the acceleration. All of human ingenuity has always been an additive process of translation from a baseline.

AI's ability to rewrite a codebase from one language to another is... not that impressive. You've given it the most precise spec possible. Exact semantics, behavior, and architecture. The architecting, making tradeoff decisions, etc is the hard part.
