@InternLon @Meiafox @SebastianMEP You have asked me to provide points that support my argument. I can't help but notice you've provided no such thing yourself, no logic of any kind, only assertions of irrationality based on what I have to assume is your gut feeling.

When it comes to defending the West, Europe talks and the US acts. The reality is uncomfortable but obvious: without the United States, Europe’s “security policy” would collapse overnight. These useful idiots don’t realise that this is exactly Europe’s war as it directly affects European security. We already suffer from regime-sponsored terrorist networks inside Europe – without even mentioning the military alliance between Russia and Iran. And Europe’s response? Shrug and hope America handles it. Europe’s spineless leaders keep lecturing Washington about restraint while relying on American power to keep global trade routes open. Trump is 100% right to demand more from allies. If Europe wants to be taken seriously as a geopolitical power, it has to start acting like one.

@ziggynorry @hippyygoat For as long as I can remember, it has been understood that the USA cannot directly invade a country like Russia or China. Not least because these are nuclear-armed countries, but also because of air defense saturation. F-35 was not designed with invading those countries in mind.

@AsylumSeaker @hippyygoat People will be hyperbolic, but the Iran war has shown to Russia and China that any aggressive war against them can be defeated. The US is still very powerful, but the global hyper dominance of 90s and early 00s think tanks is a thing of the past.

@InternLon @Meiafox @SebastianMEP If they are not rational then they will nuke Tel Aviv and Israel or the USA will nuke Tehran. I do not think it is likely, I think the IRCG want to keep collecting their state salaries and the regime wants to keep living in comfort.

@InternLon @Meiafox @SebastianMEP It's not rational to use a nuclear weapon when there are nuclear weapons pointed at you. Take the bombings of Nagasaki and Hiroshima for example. These were rational acts of terrorism using nuclear weapons, but only because Japan had no way to respond in kind.

@AsylumSeaker @Meiafox @SebastianMEP So terrorism is rational but using a nuclear ballistic missile is not rational? So you expect Iran to continue to behead infidels while keeping its nuclear ballistic missiles as defensive deterrent

@InternLon @Meiafox @SebastianMEP Terrorism is rational, it's a valid and well established means of fighting an asymmetric conflict. Israel for example was established through terrorism, it is well documented and an ongoing inspiration to the entire region. It's immoral, abhorrent, inhumane, but not irrational.

@AsylumSeaker @Meiafox @SebastianMEP Again, you are assuming the irgc is rational, just like you. Why would a rational government fund terrorists like hamas and hazbollah? Why have they repeatedly stated their goal is to eliminate Israel militarily? Can you posit that in theory it is possible they aren’t…

It's the simple logic of nuclear deterrence as understood for 75 years. The IRCG saw Gaddafi give up nuclear weapons, now he is dead. They saw Kim Jong Un build nuclear weapons, his dynasty still rules NK. They saw Ukraine gave up its nuclear weapons, they got invaded. They saw Israel got nuclear weapons and as a result can do what it wants.

@InternLon @Meiafox @SebastianMEP Even the IRGC does not want Tehran to get nuked, which is what would happen if it used a nuclear weapon against anybody. They know this, they just want a nuclear weapon for second strike capability to ensure that the Israelis won't ever nuke them.

@AsylumSeaker @Meiafox @SebastianMEP You are assuming that the irgc is just like you. They aren’t. This is the fatal flaw in all negotiations so far. It’s why Obamas billions in a pallet of cash didn’t make any difference. Not everyone is like you.

For years they touted the F-35 as an invincible weapon against Russian/Chinese AD radars. Iran has not just only detected but managed to track the US jet before striking it. The F-35 destroyed or not, this is a terrible PR campaign for the US.

No wonder why Iranian air defense was able to detect, track, lock-on and damage the F-35. Just look at the bumpy underbelly of the F-35, those little bumps are perfect radar reflectors. The F-35 being bloated (fat), also causes issues with cooling, making them more detectable by infrared sensors.

🚨BREAKING The Russian army is reportedly deploying RS-24 Yars intercontinental ballistic missiles to the Baltic border. The RS-24 Yars intercontinental ballistic missile has a range of 11,000 km and possesses explosive power equivalent to one million tons of TNT. It's always good to remind the Baltic rats that their lives depend on the push of a button.🇷🇺🚀🔥

@BurtRock69 @RealFoodRina This amounts to a discernment of the right of other things to live based on the human experience. I for one don't think it's a coincidence that humans consistently place ourselves at the top of the empathy pyramid, I think it is because human empathy evolved to serve humans.

@TristinHopper Yeah they'll probably save us from one that a US space mining company accidentally put on a collison course with Earth, and then wonder why we don't celebrate them fixing their fuckup. The Iranian regime is a consequence of US meddling, just like that hypothetical asteroid.
