For anyone who is contemplating leaving teaching, or already dreading Autumn1… life afterwards is instantaneous relief. My mental health has recharged, I’m running 4-5k a day, eating properly and a new career. I’m pretty close to my ‘happiest ever’. #lifeafterteaching

@TeachTheTeacher @mrstinac @tombennett71 What I do know is we don’t have a big long list of ‘If you do X then we will do Y’. What we do have is clear expectations of conduct that are consistently reinforced.

Really interested to know what other people use when teaching GCSE PE … Do you use books and get pupils to write notes? Do you have work books? Are you all digital? What one do you use or do you thinks best and why? Please share to help the conversation 💬

@MissButlerPE1 I keep them half the time, they take them half. Not had a lost one yet by my 11s. It used to be a big issue but my class this year have been really good!

Good effort from staff and students today...- we have been wearing odd socks for Antibullying week in conjunction with the Antibullying Alliance. Students have been discussing the differences between banter and bullying, & how to report bullying @ABAonline #AntiBullyingWeek

So fun to catch up and see how far everyone has come, and to get stuck into the NPQ, really looking forward to it. Wouldn’t be where I am without the experiences back at Blue Coat! 😁

Induction to NPQ today was great. So nice to meet new colleagues and catch up with some old ones too! Ones I used to TA for years ago and now I’m a head of year. Crazy how far we’ve come! Also caught up with my college tutor who was a huge inspiration for me! 🥹
