@GullyRodger @francesca_kms Because they're keen on social cleaning. London is now a hostile environment for the less able.
English

@francesca_kms Stupid argument, you have to reach a healthy state to be able to ride a bike to work.
Why do you idiots hate people who are unable to ride a bike?
English

@NumbersMan3 @francesca_kms It's fake news. They just make it all up.
English

@francesca_kms Your fun fact seems to be comparing people who specifically cycle to work with people who don't cycle at all.
As the latter group will include the chronically sick and disabled I suspect that "further and better particulars" are required in your analysis.
English

@francesca_kms Yes, most work dor the council so only do a 4 hour day 4 day week with gold plated pensions.
English

100% believable. @metpoliceuk have not contacted me once. When contacted they had no updates. I've been to court twice since helping them with phone drivers but it seems this person (AO74 YHE) is free to knock people down with impunity.
It will likely time out at 6 months
@cyclingweekly no reposts@cw_unique
Police in London are hot on fining cyclists for running red lights, but haven’t caught a single driver involved in car-on-bike hit-and-run crimes in the last year cyclingweekly.com/news/the-met-a…
English

@kfullermusic Yes, just shows irresponsible parents shouldn't tell kids to play in front of the wheels of cars.
English

The driver probably just thought it was a kid.
Ban e-bikes.
Yeah But Cyclists@but_cyclists
An SUV owner encounters a rock
English

@exolon @IsSaddleThereIs @MPSHackney It should teach the parents to protect their children rather than 'go play in the traffic'. They should be reported.
English

@IsSaddleThereIs @MPSHackney Absolutely thoughtless, stupid driving. And what a shite message to send to a kid (although I'm sure someone will say "good, that'll teach him to expect more of the same").
English

When you try to give way to a child trying to cross a side road in his community in Stamford Hill, but a driver with a van full of kids has other ideas and impatiently drives on the wrong side of the road, nearly knocking the poor boy over! Disgraceful driving @MPSHackney!
English

@IsSaddleThereIs @MPSHackney Appalling parenting. What is wrong with entyclists??
English

@guidoacasa @muffmasterh @francesca_kms Some people cannot walk 100 yards. In time, you may be one of them....
English

@muffmasterh @francesca_kms There's a big underground car park a hundred yards away.
English

@francesca_kms Not the UK of course. Our streets are now peppered with motorbikes zipping in between pedestrians.
English

@n00dles71 What incompetent designed & signed off those bus stop islands!
Just ask @Doug_Paulley how much space you need to get a wheelchair on/off a bus!
The advert also hides any view of approaching cyclist when stepping out from shelter!
English

@GordonFbpe @Bikery1966 Deliberately brought to its knees by TFL, Labour LCC councillors and the LCC.
English

@BabeBrompt14031 @Bikery1966 It's being strangled by too many private cars. Average traffic speed in 2022 was 10 mph...
English

@GordonFbpe @Bikery1966 He was doing 22 on a road that was previously at least 30. This city is being strangled.
English

@BabeBrompt14031 @Bikery1966 Would you say the same if he had been caught doing 33 in a 30 limit? Or 44 in a 40 limit?
English

Hilton regularly writes anti cycling posts fanning the flames of antagonism towards people cycling and then wonders why so few people use bicycles to get around our streets.
Hilton Holloway@hiltonholloway
@Bikery1966 Just walked 65 miles around three Japanese cities and saw lots of cyclists. And cycle lanes. Just one - a young bloke in Ginza - was in lycra. I believe the same thing is correct in Netherlands. Why is the UK such an outlier on casual cycle use?
English

@BabeBrompt14031 @KingOfLimeBikes @francesca_kms I, on the other hand, do know Oxford St, having worked there for years.
The one time it was bearable is when Extinction Rebellion closed Oxford Circus and effectively pedestrianised it.
English

@francesca_kms Not my favourite street in London and I don’t think it ever will be. But pedestrianising it is a no brainer. Sadiq Khan has a great instinct for these things.
English

@KingOfLimeBikes @francesca_kms You do not know Oxford St.
English

@francesca_kms It's definitely needed!! I live near Leamington Spa and the center parade is gonna be pedestrianised and some people are so annoyed by it, and im a driver my self and I think it's definitely needed! In Coventry the city center bits got pedestrianised and it was the best thing!
English

@TKYSK8R Yes, when they have trialled it foot traffic increased by 38%.
No cycling is my understanding yes.
