Bad Saturday

@BadSaturday1

It doesn't matter the day, the week, the month, or even the rank of my team, I've always got something to bitch about. From 9 AM to 10 PM, you know I'm pissed.

@aakashgupta Waiting tables is not "skilled service." Anyone can do it with minimal training. They ask what you want, someone else does the work, they bring it to you. There is no "skill" required. Idiots can't do it well, but not being an idiot is not a "skill."

American restaurants are legally allowed to pay servers $2.13/hour. In Japan, tipping is rude. In Australia, servers make $24/hour before tips. In Denmark, $25/hour with full benefits. In those countries, a server handwriting a demand for more money on a receipt would be absurd. The restaurant already paid them. In America, the restaurant doesn't. So 20% from the customer fills the gap. That's the system. Leaving less means the server worked your table for two dollars an hour. This receipt is what that looks like in practice. $525 check. The restaurant collected every dollar. Printed "gratuity: $0.00" on the bill. Paid the server $2.13/hour. Then left the building. The customer left $60 in cash. That's 11%. The server handwrote a note: "I was expecting more like $120. Thanks." The note looks entitled until you do the math. At $2.13/hour, a four-hour dinner shift pays the server $8.52 from the restaurant. The difference between a $60 tip and a $120 tip is the difference between $17/hour and $32/hour for skilled service on a $525 tab. Everyone is arguing about the server's attitude. Nobody is asking why a business that just collected $525 is paying its worker two dollars. The server and the customer are fighting over who covers payroll. The restaurant owner is nowhere in the conversation. Already won.

@PiningForAFjord @RealTheoWold I do understand. I also understand that is up to the states, not the general population. But if you start misinterpreting the constitution, the rule of law falls apart.

@BadSaturday1 @RealTheoWold Do you understand how difficult it is to amend the constitution? It's not going to happen. ESPECIALLY not if all of the children of illegals currently in this country become citizens and start voting. No candidate that isn't explicitly pro-illegal immigrant will ever win again.

You've often heard Justices be split into two separate categories of jurisprudence: The "living Constitution" and "dead Constitution." Well, John Roberts falls into a new category: The "Suicide Pact Constitution." No, the original words of the Constitution do not mean America must tolerate foreigners being able to fly here and make their kids citizens.
TheBlaze@theblaze

US Solicitor General John Sauer: “8 Billion people are one plane ride away from having a child who is a US citizen.” Chief Justice John Roberts: “It’s a new world, but it’s the same Constitution.”

@CoreyB08 No book says Saturday or Sunday are the Sabbath. The point is you shall work for 6 days and rest and honor the lord on one of those days. Clergy, rabbis, and imams work on "the Sabbath." I bet you the majority of them honor the Sabbath on the next day. Swing and a miss.

Exodus 35:2 Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the Lord: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death. Guys we should be putting someone people to death….I mean it’s the Bible. If he came in requesting everyone who works on the Sabbath be killed it’s all good right, because it’s in the Bible

Highly intelligent “activist” judges are able to reverse engineer their legal reasoning such that it’s consistent with their past opinions and hypothetical rulings on prominent contemporaneous issues. With Jackson’s opinions, you could have future cases in which both the majority and the dissent cite a different jackson opinion as precedent for their ruling.

Personally I think people are completely misreading Jackson. She's not dumb; she's uninterested in following legal principles she doesn't agree with. She's not unlike Scalia in the early days, and I think the future of liberal jurisprudence is much more likely to look like her than Kagan.

In the NBA you can promote Black Lives Matter, LGBTQIA delusions but if you proclaim Christianity they cut you from the team. The NBA and the Chicago Bulls need to immediately reverse their decision. If not, the NBA is finished, consumed by wokeness. Jaden Ivy has a 1st amendment right to speak and practice his religion. I hope he sues the NBA into oblivion.

@FirstStrike786 @PramilaJayapal How would possibly value someone's wealth? On what day? Oh, and they don't actually individually own any of that wealth. Trusts, LLCs, etc. You're not going to be able to tax anyone's unrealized gains.

Let me understand this: I work my entire life, lose money, get back up, take loans, invest in a business, and after years of hard work, I succeed. Then I decide to settle down with a woman who owns nothing. We have children, and later, she divorces me….and suddenly she is entitled to my house, my properties, my money, and even fights for custody of the children I worked so hard to raise? So basically, a woman who is struggling to buy a house can just get married, divorce, and instantly become a landlady? Explain to me how this makes sense.

They did it before the advent of asymmetric warfare emerged as a viable long term war strategy. The IRGC isn’t going to meet the US Marines for one big battle at the Persian Gate. Also neither Turks or the Romans managed to conquer Persia. And Greece is being double counted by stating both Macedonia and Greece. Not to mention that Macedonia was being led by possibly the Greatest General of all time meanwhile the US has Pete Hegseth.

@Naozymandias @KirstiMiller30 Why does no one think about the fact that just by being there, the trans woman took a spot from a biological woman (most likely by winning that country's trials). It's not JUST about medals. You have to qualify for the Olympics, and I'm many sports, you have to qualify for trials

@KirstiMiller30 "unfair biological advantage" but no medals even among the few that have actually made it to olympics. have we considered maybe we should ban cìs woman athletes for clear unfair advantage, they're dominating the sports pushing trans women out?

The only trans athlete photo Ben Fordham Live could find was a trans athlete who came dead last at the Olympic Games. Trans women athletes have not won a single one of the 7,500 Olympic medals that were awarded since 2003, when trans women were first eligible to compete at the Olympic Games. Not even a solitary relay or team bronze medal has been won by a trans woman athlete. If Kirsty and the International Olympic Committee genuinely prioritised protecting women's sports, they would allocate 50% of Olympic funding to women's sports and dedicate more resources to investigating doping & sex offenders, which is a widespread issue in female sports. youtu.be/B8CzqxhZk7I?si…

@Donna_Rachel_ @BillboardChris @Glinner It's the judge's courtroom. You NEVER interrupt the judge. Even first year baby lawyers know this. A lawyer owes a duty of candor to the court that exceeds his duty to advocate for his client.

You can go on YouTube and watch footage of the woman screaming before she goes unconscious and her dog frantically running around the backseat barking before they both burn to death because Henry Ruggs decide to drive drunk. He shouldn’t be allowed to step foot out of prison let alone onto a football field.

@Ayoelesho How do you see an entire impoverished continent that refuses to work together on anything, to work together for the purpose of building more than 5,177 nuclear warheads before the US protects itself? There's no threat of mutual destruction.

Slavery ended not because the white man intended to free slaves but because machines were invented which did the work that slaves hitherto did, and keeping slaves became more expensive than using these machines. So, if a time ever comes when human labour is required en masse to do jobs that machines cannot do, the white man would invade Africa again and enslave the continent. When that happens, we are nothing but sitting ducks. Only the threat of mutually assured destruction can prevent this from happening. Which is why Africa must build núclear weàpons like the future of our continent depends on it, because it actually does. It is better to build a weapon that we might never need than need them one day and not have them. If we don’t, our children will ask what we did to protect their future.

When Kevin Spacey was accused of sexually assaulting Anthony Rapp, he announced that he was gay. He was hugely criticised for seemingly using his sexuality to try and distract from the accusations. This police officer, who spoke “a lot about the powers he had” in the Met as a special constable, acted male in 2018, acted male in the five years of their “on-off relationship”, and acted male during most of the trial. It was only during the sentencing that they transitioned. Most trans people spend ages transitioning. Most doctors recommend living in their affirmed gender for at least three months to over a year before starting hormone therapy - to ensure confidence in their decision. That’s self identification, and that’s not what appears to have happened here. I don’t think most people realise that - why would they? This person may be transgender and a danger to women, but they are not a danger to women *because* they are trans. “The key point is that you are a very significant risk to women,” Judge Cooper said. “This is not predicated on your trans status, but on your criminal status.” I feel sorry for the victims, for women, for the trans community that has to put up with this, and for anyone who feels unsafe when they may have only seen the headline.
