After nearly 3 months inside MDC Brooklyn, former Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores are back in SDNY today at 11AM. He’s pushing to toss his drug trafficking case, arguing a geopolitical fight over legal fees is violating his constitutional rights. His lawyer says the U.S. is blocking Venezuelan funds meant to pay for his defense. I’m feeling like a person today, so heading down to cover this!

JUST IN: Brentwood Police say 'Reacher' star Alan Ritchson acted in self-defense, say no charges will be filed.
The development comes as new footage appears to show Ritchson's neighbor blocking the road while he was on his motorcycle.
"After reviewing available evidence, including video footage and witness statements, authorities determined that no criminal charges will be pursued," said the Brentwood Police Department.
"Mr. Ritchson’s actions were found to be in self-defense."
"Although a potential reckless endangerment charge was considered, Mr. Ritchson declined to pursue charges."
The case has been closed.

Local 10 News obtained video showing officers serving Watson, 42, with a domestic violence restraining order on March 17
He is accused of beating his girlfriend, which included “forcibly slamming her head into a table,” according to a police report
Investigators said the incident stemmed from an argument after she attended a Miami Heat game without him
Authorities said Watson was already out on bond in another violent case at the time. He remains in custody in Broward County

This is a ridiculous order judge splitting costs- put the costs at 50 percent as "he" determines the relative merits of the case. Any dismissed counterclaims had the same evidence, same deposition cost, if anything Foreman had an additional filing fee. @JusticeServedTV

Exact same issue for me- I know my previous books and articles have been used to train AI (looking at you anthropic)- & when I run previous articles (written pre-AI) into AI checkers, they can come back as high as 90% AI. It's not artificial intelligence- it's collective human intelligence.
