या लोकांवर फार टिप्पणी करावी असं काही नाही, पण आपल्या आजूबाजूच्या समाजात कुणाला आर्थिक यश मिळतं, कोण लोकप्रियतेच्या शिखरावर पोहोचतं, कोण सतत प्रसिद्धीच्या प्रकाशझोतात राहतं हा समाजाच्या दृष्टिनं चिंतेचा विषय वाटतो. त्यात आपण सवंग लोकप्रियतेची वाट न धरता काही गंभीर करण्याचा प्रयत्न करत असू तर मनाला एक प्रकारची उदासी आल्याशिवाय राहात नाही. मी हल्ली बऱ्याचदा गंमतीने म्हणतो की फ्रस्ट्रेशन येऊ न देणं हा माझा पूर्ण वेळ उद्योग आहे आणि मग अधूनमधून मी गाणीही करतो!
हा केवळ बाष्कळपणा आहे असं नाही. हे लोक आत्ता समाजात यशस्वी मानले जातात. एखादा वाद पेटला तरी यांना त्याचा फायदाच होतो. आर्थिक यश यांनाच मिळतं. यूट्यूब फॉलोअर्स यांनाच मिळतात. येन केन मार्गाने यांना झोतात रहायचं असतं पण खरी शोकांतिका ही आहे की येन केन मार्गाने समाज यांनाच झोतात ठेवतो. कुठल्याही प्रकारच्या गंभीर कामासाठी लोकप्रियतेचे हे शॉर्टकट्स घेता येत नाहीत हे सतत स्वतःला समजावत रहावं लागतं.
आपण कशाला उत्तेजन देतो? कुणाला प्रोत्साहन देतो? कुणाला उपेक्षित ठेवतो. या सगळ्यावर समाज म्हणून आपली किंमत ठरत जाणार आहे.

@airindia Hi, so without a warning, the JFK-BOM Premium Economy tickets have been silently shifted to Economy and no update on it via email or msgs or all the other spam media at your disposal? The cost difference is not compensated, nor the specific seats selected and paid for!

@RjSriram15 @airindia Same experience for my parents when I booked a premium economy for them for their comfort, Air India downgraded them to Economy saying their aircraft is changed! Truly pathetic airlines with no morale! They do not have the courtesy to even notify passengers in advance.

I think everything is mediocre about this new branding efforts from Air India, removal of "Konark chakra" was really not required, font is awful IMO. Everything else is fine but not great. @airindia could have done a better job.
