This week at a @SVACGOP markup, I visited with Kelly McHugh, the surviving daughter of U.S. Army Colonel John M. McHugh, who was killed in Afghanistan in 2010.
In 2021, I named the Colonel John M. McHugh Tuition Fairness for Survivors Act after Kelly's dad to pay tribute to his sacrifice and recognize how important his children's education was to him. It was great to have Kelly join us at the signing ceremony when it became law.
Thank you, Kelly, for your dedication to supporting fellow surviving families across the country.
