It feels like we're just days away from a major war erupting in the Horn of Africa. With the US and EU having their priorities elsewhere, China can't be bothered, the AU powerless, and the UAE actively fanning the flames there seems to be no one able or willing to stop it.

While Ethiopia provides 🇪🇹 a rear base for the RSF fighting Sudan 🇸🇩, Khartoum, for its part, provides a rear base for the Tigrayan rebels fighting Addis Ababa. The Tigray People Liberation Forces Army 70 is based in Al Fao (located by @Dinlas3), fought in the battle of Khartoum and is training Tigrean recruits to launch an offensive on Welkait, a disputed region in north-western Ethiopia, between Amhara and Tigray.
