@PIOthanhn @ChiefTested @DaveMillsPhoto @LACoFDPIO I agree. Need to have that worked out beforehand because when the incident happens there is no time for that. As a photographer, my shot opportunities come and go in the blink of an eye or the squeeze of the shutter. I need to get in quick, not justify why I am there.

About last night.... Rant alert.... In all of my years I have never seen so many ‘photographers’ at an incident. There were conservatively 30 vehicles, probably close to twice that many ppl with cameras. @DaveMillsPhoto @LACoFDPIO

@PIOthanhn @564FIREPhoto @415FirePhoto That is the challenge. Before social media took off, you had the traditional folks that you knew everyone of them and a handful of stringers. Today? It’s a zoo as Dave Mills mentioned. I’m not sure how to run off the hobbyists and Photo buffs.

@JhawkFire @CALFIRERRU John it was an exercise we did in Idyllwild back in 2005, before a dark time in our lives. I know we benefited on a few of them after that.

@BdfRetired, John, Thank you very much. I always valued the opportunity to mentor & make it better when I honorably served as the @CALFIRERRU Fire Chief. I am trying to remember if this was a field exercise or a fire? Maybe the 2013 Mountain Fire? Thank you, again.
