@bluewmist Good shoes and belts. Cheap ones aren't as comfortable (shoes, that is) and they fall apart. I've had my favourite shoes for about 10 years and they've only recently got a small nick in the sole.

At primary school our teacher cooked a banana by lugging each end into a circuit of wire that went into a wall plug. I resent the fact that all kitchen gadgets are now internet controlled but no-one sells the banana cooker as a commercial product.

@ComposerNorwood @mags_mclaugh I'd never noticed that. Really weird that people are ok with one pair and not the other. I didn't understand when to use fewer until I was in my 30s, and it's not difficult now I know, just I was never taught, and must never have heard it hard correctly often.

I would add a wealth tax of 1% over 10,000 and 2% over 1,000,000,000
I would also close tax loopholes holes including an exit tax for anyone who leaves the UK and the ability to tax those who continue to make money through the UK even if they have left

Basic rate 20% up to 60k
