@profbohns I often end up _not_ trying something because I can't do it to a professional standard. It makes no sense, I know. I would tell me it's ridiculous to think anyone could, for example, throw a beautiful vase 5 minutes after getting the clay to _not_ fly off the wheel.

What is with the obsession with always doing your best? What about doing what you can? Or, just doing *something* to keep pushing ahead? Those things can often be just as impressive as doing your best.

@bensauer @mmmmmrob I chose this (Sound of Metal). It was excellent, thanks. I don't watch films very often, but this was worth it. I'm also really glad I watched it with isolating headphones. I wouldn't have thought to in advance, but it made it kind of special.

@tomhillonline @keithalexander That's a good idea. I just used an app that has sunrise and sunset as variables (and I think you can offset, so sunrise + 1hr). I cannot remember which one it was, I think even Hue's own app does that? But a light sensor would be more accurate.

Can you get LED bulbs that change colour based on the time of day, a bright natural light in the morning, dimmer and warmer colour in the evening - and only do that? I know you get £££ fully programmable lights with wifi etc, but don't see a simple "plug and play" version.

@DrJaninaRamirez I’ll take the cat as a blessing, and offer the only nice view i could find in a week of living in the middle of bloody nowhere with no history. Can find something uplifting, even in Indiana. The fog and emo light helped :)

@PaulDJohnston @beauvais @UniofBath I loved High School, I'm still in touch with about 50 people. We were extraordinarily close knit for a large, 50% BAME school in Acton.

I still don't actually understand why americans don't use the terms 1st year, 2nd year etc for which year of school/college they are in. If someone says "sophomore" I have to look it up.

@RevRichardColes That looks about right to me. Can’t see the boom arm for the vocal mic to catch the airspace beyond your lav mic, though. Or the field mixer, might be on the camera tripod? :D

@drjtwit Yeah, I didn’t say they were not evil... just seeming less than some other evil corps. It’s not exactly a glowing endorsement: not _quite_ as evil as Amazon.
