@congressdj @sunny051488 @elonmusk I don’t have Tesla insurance but I always have to disengage because the maps aren’t updated and FSD wants to go the long way to enter my subdivision.

@sunny051488 @elonmusk Ironically, if I manually drive all the time it would be fine. It’s when you disengage from FSD, which is typically in Mad Max mode for me. So right off the bat you’re dinged for speeding, tailgating, and hard braking. That’s what needs fixing. The disconnect.

Dumping Tesla insurance after 3 months. It has increased 48% in that time, based on <30 minutes of manual driving (mostly map-related disengagements) in 3000 miles. It now exceeds GEICO (which we left) even with 16 year old son. So disappointed. @elonmusk you gotta fix this, man.

@9to5mac @mbrkhrdt I went with M3 MBA (previously had a MBP) because it was thin, light and fan-less. I no longer needed the power of a MBP because the M3A covered it. With that being said, if they came out with a M6P; I’d definitely look into it if it was thinner and lighter from previous MBPs.

@aqdev @theapplecycle @ld_vova I might be only few people who has a touchscreen laptop for work and don’t use it. I had one personally and used it twice but that’s been replaced by a MBA M3.

Last fall, as my 86-year-old father-in-law lay dying of cancer at his home in Lakeland, Florida, the pool guy told my wife—who was tending to her dad—that he was owed $2,000 for past services. He claimed that he’d left my father-in-law’s check “out in the rain” and it had been ruined. Although distraught over her father’s situation, my wife is a sensible person and asked to see the “ruined” check before writing a new one. Weeks pass, and the pool guy starts to get pretty aggressive about demanding payment, before he finally produces the “ruined” check on which he also claims to have spilled ink (!)—and shows her many other similarly “ruined” checks. My wife logs into her father’s bank account and sees that the check—in perfect condition—had been cashed by the pool guy months earlier. So he’s obviously trying to take advantage of her vulnerable situation to scam her. We were outraged and concerned that he’d pull this stunt on others, so we immediately contacted the Polk County Sheriff’s Department. We were assigned a Detective to whom we presented the evidence: emails demanding payment, the copy of the bogus “ruined” check, and the bank’s copy of the intact check that was cashed. Alas, they’ve now ghosted us since we last reached out 3 months ago asking for an update. And that brings me to my point: I don’t know what’s happened in our country, but our law enforcement agencies and prosecutors seem more interested in doing their paperwork than in actually enforcing the law. I hope we can change this before people stop bothering even to bring wrongdoing to the authorities’ attention, as has happened in many other countries. The rule of law requires enforcement of the law!

Iran was an imminent threat. President Trump did what forty years of feckless foreign policy could not - he took the threat seriously and acted forcefully - as he always does. The initial bombings were completely justified on those narrow terms. BUT I DO NOT SUPPORT TROOPS ON THE GROUND. We don't need the same neocons who got us into Iraq - sending our sons and daughters into Iran.

Just because it's coming up again If you don't have a charger at your home/apartment/workplace, EVs are not worth it Public charging only in a convenient way is more expensive and time consuming than gas. If you have the aforementioned, you never think about it.
