The NCAA is exploring a significant change to its eligibility rule, sources tell @YahooSports. The proposal creates an age-based standard: Athletes would have 5 years of eligibility from their 19th birthday or HS graduation. No redshirts or waivers. bit.ly/3POqo2D

@Blottskie @JomboyMedia I don't follow this enough, but with no context, it seems like a textbook balk. But I didn't know there was an exception that this was granted. If so, wow

@JomboyMedia Honestly I don’t understand this call it goes back years now where I thought they understand it’s Gausman’s timing or typical pitching process and give him an exception to the balk rule?

@harrop_katie Sure, the actual number is going to be high and likely higher than last year, but you are quoting a self-described satire account.

@Steponaduck Laughed at the gas station part. Whenever I go in, there are people always playing the gambling machines in the back. 😂

This is one of the worst displays of biased journalism I’ve ever encountered. There was zero education given to this man and he was wagering somebody else’s money with no consequence of loss. There was no talk in his article about the extent of his research, money management techniques or seeking out information about what to avoid. His solution after losing half his company’s money was to go all in on a Super Bowl bet that lost. This guy never once talks about his process, metrics, factors he considers important when handicapping any sport, and now draws prediction markets into it by cautioning betting on the Oscars or the weather. There was no personal governor put on his unit size, leagues he would bet on or avoid, or how much time he would spend gambling each day/week. An attempt to correlate gambling with some subtle changes in health was made. There was no talk about how many Big Mac sandwiches he ate during this six months, now many workouts he went to or missed, or how much he worked at his job, all of which have a significant effect on one’s health. Frankly I’m embarrassed that someone will review this journalistic material and automatically assume gambling and those associated with it are bad/stupid/immature or something else negative. There are more addictive or dangerous substances sold to you at the gas station, fast food restaurants or provided by doctors but yet gambling takes it in the shorts via the media. I ain’t buying this one. This experiment was so badly flubbed up. This is not a personal attack on the writer who went through this experiment. His company set him up to fail and now people will be mislead everywhere he speaks on the subject.

“It only took a few weeks before I was hiding in the kitchen pantry to put my bets in, so my kids didn’t see how much I was gambling”: @TheAtlantic gave @mckaycoppins $10,000 as part of his investigation into online sports gambling — and he came out with far less money and some insight into how gamblers get hooked on apps like FanDuel and DraftKings.

Awful segment leading up to game. Unreal. One of the worst pre-game programming decisions leading up to a major sporting event I’ve ever seen.

@AndrewDBailey I feel like the premise of the belt is different. I doubt Bill has any qualms with Curry being the unanimous MVP in 16. I just think when playoffs ended, LeBron earned/retained that belt title

@cmrump @coleadamss It's Lorenzo Mata-Real for 2008 UCLA. He had three teammates that started and accomplished the feat. When he came off the bench against Memphis, he technically was the last.

@ElJefeTwoloom @erikandersennn @coleadamss The list he posted is wrong, of course, in answering the question. For what it's worth, (minus AK at the moment) that is a list of all the players that have played in and won three national championships
