@saramorrison_ @GavinMcKee13 @timricketts_ But you need to put it in its context of non-doctors being given doctor's roles. If you want to be a doctor you need to go to medical school. It's just a fact? It's not offensive to say it.

I’ve just heard about a PA working on a reg rota. Am I mad for thinking that this has all got a bit far now? We all know that they’re valuable members of the team, but at a certain point we just need to put some boundaries down. Want to be a doctor? Go to med school

@TurtonsOther On a resp job, our office was a converted windowless cupboard with 2 PCs. It was so narrow that if someone was sat at the first PC, they had to leave the room so you could get behind them to the 2nd. Full capacity if a 3rd person sat on the bin on a laptop. 10 of us shared it.

@simonk8270 @ollieburtonmed Other professionals have their offices, or peers in their department using the breakrooms. Doctors have often no or shared office space which is frequently called on, and no departmental peers. Why shouldn't we be allowed a doctors space?

@ollieburtonmed Sorry, why should this room be for the exclusive use of Doctors? No fees shouldn't be paid, but why the exclusivity? Other staff need to rest too.

Doctors aren't permanent staff and don't have protected breaks - doctor only space very important. Equally presuming mess fees no longer a thing at this trust?

@simonk8270 @ollieburtonmed Completely agree all staff need to rest. Doctors need to rest too and as a group find this easier to do in an environment like the mess. Whee we can freely access food and drink, not use coffee that we haven't paid into the team pot for on the ward etc.

@simonk8270 @ollieburtonmed Doctors move job and hospital frequently and have little peer support. It's a safe place for doctors to congregate and find support networks. Away from the ward so less likely to be asked to "just" do xyz while trying to have a drink for the first time in the day.

@Ashe2Adrianna @darkacademiazen @lizzo They're saying where were "you lot", as in all the people who told Lizzo to change it, when Kanye said it. Asking why the Internet didn't pounce on Kanye. You've misunderstood the tweet.

@C2C312 @drjeff_tooth @JoannaMelville FY1 is Foundation year 1 not fellowship, and it rotates throigh 6 different specialities. Its 2 years officially but people do more if they're not ready to start speciality training. Speciality training is then 3 to 7 years long.

My own view. On weekends Neonates PAH there are less ‘routine’ things so less busy. Admissions happen. We have more slots for parent visits. Babies and parents can be hyper stimulated there. We try to be more relaxed. Then the drilling and banging starts stops starts.@UHSFT

Is it possible to buy a dumb TV? I want something with multiple HDMI inputs which just displays whichever input is sending data. Does such a thing exist?
