aoc framing her commitments as a defense of her past approach indicates it’s not a substantive enough commitment! and then in the same breath saying the iron dome is a good thing (even while opposing the us funding it), is a terrible indefensible position!

AOC’s votes barely matter imo. They have no power to sway anything. She has reach on social media into the tens or hundreds of millions though. And she’s used that reach to be a passionate advocate for military aid to Israel. That’s where her impact is.

It’s also misguided to view punishment as the primary method of moving people that are under that intense pressure. If you accept in good faith that they are doing everything they can as individuals under the conditions they operate under, then our job is to change the conditions

there is a case to be made for endorsing candidates that aren’t ours, to be clear! but obscuring the reality that she is accountable to reformist, progressive ngo’s, in full contradiction to socialism, obstructs one’s ability to make that case and win people to it!

AOC derangement syndrome is a defining crisis for the American left. The fact that a bunch of leftists want to destroy our best shot at the presidency (by far) has almost no precedent, it’d be like if a bunch of conservatives in the 1970s spent all their time attacking Reagan.
