I do not accept the claim that Keir Starmer is a liar. He is not. I have known him to be serious, measured, and guided by a strong sense of public duty. We must challenge one another robustly on policy, but do it in a way that strengthens public confidence not erode it

I had my first real, first hand, experience of dementia today, when the old lady I take shopping, whom I've grown to care for very much, was absolutely furious with me because she was insisting I'd thrown the duck (she didn't buy) out of the car window. It didn't matter what evidence I showed her that she hadn't bought a duck, or logic I tried to use to explain why on earth I would want to throw her duck out of the window, in that moment, she was adamant and spiteful and angry. 10 minutes later, she was back to her usual self, and knew nothing about the duck. It gave me an insight in to what it must be like to see someone you love going through this - enough of them still in there that you love them, and occasionally taken over by an irrational angry person, or someone that doesn't even remember you. So, all my love to those with, and living with, someone with dementia. Hello everyone, I just wanted to let you all know what’s happening, as normally I would reply to all the lovely comments on my history posts and I haven’t done so for the last day. Yesterday evening, my pup (he’s 8 and half years old but he’ll always be my pup 🥰) started struggling to walk and was obvious he was in a lot of pain. After a long night, and then a couple of hours at the vets this morning, where he had multiple examinations and blood tests, it was confirmed that he has a back injury (absolutely no idea how)!! There is a small chance he’s got a prolapsed disc, so close observation all weekend. There is also a small chance that his cancer has spread (that’s another story that I won’t bore you with). He’s now on a lot of strong pain meds and it’s complete rest for at least a week. I just wanted to apologise and explain why I’ve not replying to everyone who takes the time to read and reply, when I normally do, but thank you all ♥️ I’m going to post the content I have prepared but apologies in advance for being quiet. Rachael ♥️
