@jamesawhiite Imperative? Oh please. The preference really just depends on what each individual likes. Me being a night owl, I like more daylight available in the evening. Either way, not everyone is going to be happy with the final decision. Kind of like life in general.

It’s imperative that we revert to STANDARD, not Daylight time, for two reasons, one of which you may have never considered.
You know the first: solar noon is closest to 12 o’clock all year. That means an equal number of hours before and after noon each day.
This also means earlier sunrises which are significantly better for establishing a healthy circadian rhythm.
The second reason is that nearly ONE THIRD of US counties are in the wrong timezone.
A significant swath of the country isn’t only an artificial hour ahead because of daylight time… but TWO HOURS ahead of true solar time.
Year-round daylight time, especially without recalibrating time zones, would establish this error permanently, affecting millions of Americans.
We should be letting the Sun dictate the day the way God made it. Arbitrary, artificial tampering would be worse for us all.
Fix the time zones and affix standard time.

@SpaceReno @Arkypatriot Very nice. We have a guest bedroom entirely furnished from cedar trees cut on wife's grandfather's land back in the day. Grandpa took the wood to a woodworking craftsman and had it made into furniture.

@SpaceReno @Arkypatriot Classic. Starting out the wife and I had a real dining room table given to us by my parents, but I made benches similar to those to actually sit on while at the table. We still have that table, must be pushing 100 years old now. Wife unit uses it for her sewing table.

If billionaires paid taxes, real taxes the way they used to Before Ronald Reagan changed it for them, and if farming practices changed from the factory farming model that the US loves and went to permaculture/ holistic agriculture, we would be able to feed everyone and rebuild infrastructure.

@MithrasSoldier Sure you can. 50lb flour - $20 for 45 loaves. That's 50 cents per loaf, or about 2c/slice 5 dozen eggs - $10. That's 16 cents per egg. Let's use 3. Mayo, mustard, etc - $3/jar, enough for a month. 50 cents for a deluxe egg salad sando better than restaurant quality
