But it has gotten out of hand, not only in restaurants but everywhere elese, I went to Dairy Queen drive thru for a milkshake handed her a card and she asked how much I wanted her to add for a tip.

And you're kind of mentality is why people aren't going out to eat and refusing to tip. Keep pushing the envelope and see if anybody tips you or if you even have a job left. You sound like the people demanding a $30 an hour raise and when that happens you get fired and a robot replaces you. You're the reason there's a problem in the tipping culture. If people like you didn't exist everybody would still be tipping.

Percentages make no sense for tipping. I go to a restaurant and order a $20 steak. Guy at the table next to me orders a $100 steak. If I tip $5 I’m considered a great tipper, but he’s expected to tip at least $20. Why? The server literally did the same amount of work!

Absolutely. As nurses and doctors we need to find a way to meet our patients needs. Translator line, Google Translator, a picture board. Understanding and meeting patients needs is a priority. While it is impotant to learn the language of the country you move to, it’s not the time to discuss it with the person at the hospital. They are there. They need their medical concerns addressed. And it’s the job of the people caring for them to do so.
