Sometimes thats all it takes. Why not have a hitting legend take a look at your swing? Set the analytics and hitting science to the side, and get some tips from guys who didn't have all that. The kid isn't a science experiment. Get him in the cage with some guys who've actually had experience hitting at the major league level. And not just experience, these are guys who have made the damn hall of fame based on their performance.

Hate saying this as a Red Sox fan, but Judge is getting way too much hate from Sox fans right now. I hate the Yankees as much as anyone, but he’s not playing for the Yankees right now, he’s playing for Team USA. And honestly, he hasn’t even been that bad. From what I’ve heard he’s been praising Roman Anthony a lot and has been a really good influence on him too. Also, Judge isn’t some bad guy. No scandals, not a dirty player, nothing like that. I agree. I would expect the number to continue to decline. Its very rare for a guy who has notably regressed each year past 30, to suddenly regain bat speed, reaction time, and pop at 35 years old. 30 homeruns is an insane proposition. He will hit around 15 while hitting .250. I just don't see 20 happening

I think Nolan Arenado is going to have the type of season that makes Cardinals fans sick to their stomachs. It's going to be hard for the DeWitts to see Nolan Arenado be the starting 3B for the NL All Star team representing the Arizona Diamondbacks. The path they took by eating that money - was foreign to them - and was something they had to sold by Chaim Bloom. And my prediction: far before any of these prospects pan out - far before the Cardinals start climbing any standings - the short term pain will show its face in the form of Nolan Arenado. 31 HR 102 RBI .250+AVG with a .800 + OPS - a .490+ SLG He's going to win the GG in the NL - could even grab the platinum. He will win a Silver Slugger award - there will be MVP award talks early. And he will reach the postseason as a WC team with AZ. This season will be a nightmare for the DeWitts in this one specific aspect. They aren't in the business of paying guys to go play somewhere else - they were sold this - and they won't like what happens next. #stlcards

I don't hate it. I just don't see getting all geeked up about any stats during it because much of the competition isn't there.

There is quite a bit of major league on most of these teams. So players are getting quality looks against real competition. Additionally some of these international players, and our minor league guys are still some of best baseball players in the world. And any hitter can swing it like Babe Ruth on any given day, and any pitcher can channel the ghost of Cy Young. Hence you have things happen like Manny's son whos an unranked prospect homering off Logan Webb. Or the Netherlands electrician Satoria throwing 4.2 inning scoreless against team Japan. Or how Michael freaking Lorenzon of people, threw a gem against the death star lineup. There are countless instances like this. If anything I've been impressed with what Ive seen from the non major leaguers. These guys are leaving it all out there on the field.
