@fitcapbiohacker I’m over 20 and doesn’t bother me one bit. Next year I’ll be 15 no worries.

If you as a male are showing up to a 4th of July party this weekend on Americas 250th birthday at 20% or more bodyfat your year was a failure.

No precise per-mitochondrion daily melatonin output exists in the literature—focus is on local synthesis (AANAT present in mito), much higher concentrations than plasma/cytosol, and on-site antioxidant use, not exported rates. Isolated mito produce it from precursors, but no quantified daily figure for scaling.
Body-wide estimate unfeasible (~37T cells, hundreds–thousands mito/cell). Subcellular (mostly mito) dominates (>95% of total); pineal ~0.1 mg/night only. Produced continuously, driven by cellular needs/stress.
IR lit supports your point: near-IR (sunlight) stimulates mitochondrial melatonin synthesis via cytochrome c oxidase and related paths (Tan, Reiter, Zimmerman). Boosts daytime cellular protection.
Higher/earlier dosing may better complement this.

When it comes melatonin, people are making two mistakes
- taking too little
- taking it too late
@grok how many mg of melatonin are made in the human body during the day subcellularly? How many at night?

@RobDouglas Sorry for your bad news. The world lost an angel but heaven gained one. The world is blessed to have people like her and yourself whom dedicated themselves to help others. She seems like a true hero and what a wonderful mentor/person to have. Sorry again Rob. Blessings.

For a number of years in the 1990s, I was a certified search dog handler. The training and certification process was rigorous, and many of the searches were physically demanding and lasted for days.
This morning, I learned that a mentor of mine—a true legend in the search dog community who devoted 40 years to the work—passed away.
Sharon Johnson was one of the kindest, most giving, and most remarkable people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. She trained me, evaluated both me and my dog, Boo, and I was on many searches with her.
It’s true that the truly good among us die too soon.
Rest in eternal peace, Sharon. You touched thousands of lives and will never be forgotten.

The best ROI for summer shreds in my opinion is Reta x MOTS-c🏎️🏴☠️🏎️🏴☠️🏎️🏴☠️
———————————————————
This is my N=1 and here is why🏴☠️
These two attack fat loss from two completely different directions which is exactly why they pair so well🏴☠️
Reta works from the top down🏴☠️
It quiets your appetite so less food comes in and it manages your blood sugar at the same time🏴☠️
And through that third glucagon switch it tells your body to pull stored fat out of your liver and fat cells and dump it into your bloodstream to be used🏴☠️
So Reta is the one unlocking the fat and getting it moving🏴☠️
But here is the piece people miss🏴☠️
Mobilizing fat is only half the job🏴☠️
If your body does not actually burn those freed up fatty acids they just float around and get restored right back where they came from🏴☠️
That is where MOTS-c comes in🏴☠️
MOTS-c works from the bottom up at the cellular level🏴☠️
It flips on AMPK and tells your mitochondria the little engines in your cells to ramp up and actually burn fat for fuel🏴☠️
So while Reta is freeing the fat MOTS-c is making sure your cells torch it instead of letting it come back🏴☠️
Put the two together and the picture is simple🏴☠️
Reta unlocks the fat and pushes it out the door🏴☠️
MOTS-c makes sure your body actually burns it for energy🏴☠️
One opens the storage the other lights the furnace🏴☠️
And there is a bonus🏴☠️
When you are eating that much less your body can start eating into muscle🏴☠️
MOTS-c leans on the same pathways that help protect your lean mass so you hold more muscle while the fat strips off🏴☠️
That is the whole reason this combo is my favorite for a shred less coming in more getting burned and your muscles are better protected through it🏴☠️
Anyone else running Reta and MOTS-c together this summer🏴☠️

@RetaDiary @cannonbill72 Yeah I was the same, but loving the fact that eating carbs and still hitting goals is doable. It’s amazing.
English

@BobbyBelter @cannonbill72 Ya roasted potatoes have been a staple.
I’m a guy that’s always used keto to lose weight so using carbs this time around is odd.

Today I turn 36! It’s funny how quickly life goes by. One minute you’re floating through the world with no regard for others. Then you’re responsible for a whole family and everyone depends on you.
In my 20s I always thought that thirties were just for working and living a boring day to day life… couldn’t be further from the truth. Was always afraid that my physical peak would be far behind me, yet another false assumption.
Today I can humbly say I’m in the best shape of my life and the best mental state I’ve ever been in. I’ve got an amazing family and I’m thankful they’ve been in my corner.
Here’s to another 36 years around the sun. To those of you here that have been by my side and support the content… you’re appreciated more than you’ll ever know! I’m forever blessed to be surrounded by such amazing people.
Cheers 🥂
