No sé qué es lo peor del GTA 6: - Que Rockstar haya elevado el precio base y establecido un nuevo estándar para la industria. - Que implementen un bloqueo real de contenido en el single-player con un muro de pago. - O que hayan quitado el formato físico con disco y con ello rematen el mercado de segunda mano. Si fuera cualquier otro juego, me importaría menos. Pero este juego es el que va a marcar los nuevos límites que seguirán las demás empresas. ¿Qué necesidad hay de jodernos así cuando de todas formas se van a llenar los bolsillos durante otra década con ventas + Online?.

El daño que hace el fanatismo a algunos es una cosa... Mas de uno debe de empezar a madurar. GTA 6 no va a ser injugable y sí, igual será disfrutable para la gran mayoría, incluyéndome. Sin embargo, no se pueden invalidar toda crítica en base a "podría ser peor" o "esto ya se ha visto antes". Que se haya hecho anteriormente no significa que esté bien, especialmente cuando hablamos del juego mas esperado e influyente de la historia. Y no, comprar el juego no te convierte automáticamente en hipócrita tampoco. Hipócrita sería defender estas prácticas ahora, mientras que siempre has criticado a EA, Ubisoft, Nintendo, etc, por hacer exactamente lo mismo. Dicho esto, para quien crea que un boicot es la solución o siquiera realista, hay que bajar de las nubes. Si quieren mandar un mensaje factible, no compren la Ultimate Edition de salida. Probablemente tampoco cambie mucho (igual que las quejas en Twitter), pero al menos es mejor que quedarse callado y aceptar todo sin rechistar.

They clearly just wanted to charge $100 for this but were terrified of the backlash. There's no other explanation for paywalling story content and shops throughout the in-game world otherwise. It's a $100 game with an $80 'mostly-complete access' variant.

My take on the GTA 6 Ultimate Edition is that pretending to be mad about a couple vehicles and cosmetics in a deluxe edition is peak performative outrage. This is a standard thing in almost every game coming out, Cosmetics & bonus side activity for deluxe editions is normal and was even in Red Dead 2. What I DO find problematic is locking actual stores and modshops, this just feels like a super odd way to approach how these bonuses work, I’d much prefer if these locations were still accessible and only the exclusive items weren’t sold there if you don’t own the Ultimate Edition. Its going to be weird to walk up to these stores and have them just be locked because you don’t own the right edition.
