As every other Republican gubernatorial candidate can attest, our candidate survey is straightforward and simple to understand. It gives gun owners a clear idea of where a candidate stands on issues facing us. But @JohnJamesMI still refuses to give us specifics on where he stands on Constitutional Carry, "Red Flag" gun confiscation and Permit to Purchase, all while his support is sinking in the polls. Vague posting and silence is no way to win the hearts of pro-gun Michiganders.

@hannahhill_sc Don't tell Kostas but NAGR is my favorite gun rights group (mostly because I heard it's a bunch of former YAL kids). SAF is a close second though!

We all get these accusations - "You're just saying that to raise money." But all these lawyers would make so much more in the private sector - shucks, I'm not a lawyer and I'm pretty sure even I could make more in the private sector. Plus, we lose far more than we win, and your heart breaks every time. This work is not for the faint of heart and you don't do it to make money. You do it because you believe in the gun rights cause, and it is literally an investment of your life.

Is it any wonder why gun owners have trust issues with the Republican Party? Because in the year 2026, you still have Republicans opposing the most popular pro-gun bill in America.

I participated on a panel back in 2023 with Eli Savit where we discussed the gun control proposals Democrats were ramming through the legislature. Not surprisingly, Savit supported all of them and then some. He's as anti-gun as they come and would be a continuation of the anti-gun tyranny Nessel has established in the AG's office.

It is tone deaf for people to claim that $5/gas under Trump isn't so bad because it was higher under Biden. The average American doesn't care, but looks to what they are paying right now, and right now it hurts. They are paying double at the pump than what they were at the start of the year. The fact is inflation is continuing to ravage the nation under both political parties because neither party is actually serious about reining in out-of-control spending. Keep in mind, the inflation rate is compounding month over month. When the media reports inflation is going down, it is not actual prices, but the rate at which prices are increasing is going down (which isn't even true now since the rate's been increasing the last couple months). And throwing $5/gas on top of that, which is a direct result of the quagmire in Iran started by the Trump Administration, is going to cause Republicans to get obliterated at the polls this November. No amount of "It was worse under Biden" is going to save them without an end to this idiotic war with Iran and a drop in gas prices (and the cost of everything else).
