Parents must have the final say over their own children. Period. Ottawa and Alberta have reached a deal on industrial carbon pricing. This is good news for the agri-food sector. An industrial carbon tax affects fertilizer, transportation, cold storage, packaging, processing, and distribution. These costs don’t disappear. They move through the supply chain and eventually reach consumers at the grocery store. A slower path to higher carbon pricing will reduce immediate inflationary pressure, but the agri-food sector will still face rising operational costs over time. Food inflation is never just about retail. Energy policy matters too.
