If I were a smart man who had an eye for statical anomalies, I might start graphing the rate at which Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist and Shinto places of worship were being destroyed and damaged, all as separate lines, over time.
I would exclude those being destroyed in overt warfare, exclude natural disasters, and focus on accidents, unknown causes, and known arson cases.
And then I'd look for spikes in the data. And take special note of which religion's places of worship were NOT spiking.
And by doing that, I might find a culprit.
