🇨🇳 808 coal plants
335 under construction.
199 permitted.
221 announced.
China chose energy security over energy ideology.
While the West held climate summits
Asia was pouring concrete.
Hormuz closed and LNG disrupted.
Not one coal plant went offline.
The energy transition is a Western conversation.
The rest of the world is having a different one.

@gsorgard@girdley Today your bank would not get bailed out, it would get bailed in ? Meaning government won’t put money into banks but the bank would take your $800k and convert it to bank shares, debt becomes asset. Nobody wants bank shares so everyone wants to sell at once, bank shares collapse.
@girdley Too bad that’s not true. You loose the 800k and your debt gets sold to another bank which you still owe. It’s why you never make fun of someone who lived through 30’s and doesn’t trust banks.
My favorite bank run story:
It's the 1980s.
Banks are failing left and right.
Grandpa owes a failing bank $2mm.
He has $800k in an account there.
They call, "Sir, you're losing that $800k"
He says, "OK, I just won't pay the $2mm. We're square!"
They didn't take his $800k.
Snoopy was adopted by Charlie Brown on October 10, 1950, from the Daisy Hill Puppy Farm, after Snoopy had been bought by someone else but was returned.
We’re #29!!
Under Conservative govt in 2014 Canadas quality of life index was tied for #5 with Denmark and Finland.
After a decade of Liberal misrule - using the identical metrics - Canadian quality of life has dropped to #29 in 2025.
Interactive chart with link and metrics below
What happened?
A Carney-advised decade of reckless borrowing and debt, dying productivity, over-regulation, climate alarmism, widespread immigration fraud, a vastly expanded obese bureaucracy, declining healthcare, rising crime, declining military, declining infrastructure, and a hollowed-out currency.
Our dollar is worth 68 cents now - and our national per capita wealth is now ranked with Mississippi, the poorest US state.
Looking forward, Mr Carney just released his plan to continue deficit-spending a quarter trillion dollars we don’t have on the same failed big-govt-will-solve-it strategy.
Will Canada even make the top 40 places to live in 4 more years?
Will Eastern boomers finally be willing to vote for change then - or will there be a new ‘crisis’ distracting them from holding the Liberals to account - while they visit their grandkids in other ‘opportunity societies’ and countries where parents can live in safe cities nd build a business, create a family and buy a home?
Canada should be the most prosperous nation on earth.
We need better ideas than the Liberal ones that lost us the last decade.

The list of “enemies” on the right or left has changed, as the left is now pro war and has captured the judiciary, but the general principle is timeless
Casually driving down my county Road and get pulled over by the local COP(citizen on patrol). I stopped just knowing there was no chance of out running him. #AubPatrol
5) Risk Tolerance
"Failure" in America's proof you took a big swing and missed … this time.
In the UK, it’s like a generational stain we try scrubbing off quietly behind closed doors.
No wonder America scales while Britain stagnates
@globeandmail article. If Ontario eliminated all of its corporate welfare tomorrow, the Ford government could easily cut Ontario’s corporate tax rate down from 11.5 per cent to 6.5 per cent.
If Alberta did this could we be down to 3 % @Alberta_Finance ?
@FoodProfessor That's probably a good thing. Rather than raise the price, reduce the size. People don't need to consume large bars of sugar. That is why we are so fat as a society. I commend the sweets industry.
Just got tested at the MAN VAN for prostate cancer screening. The alternate form of testing is less pleasant. Get yours today at Ag Expo Lethbridge. I do it every year
