Lol - I'm insulted. I promise to never use AI for X post replies. I find a lot of value in the genuine interactions I've got around the stump grinding homies on here... Wouldn't want to cheapen it with AI. I was saying there will be ups and downs in figuring out how to make this stump grinding thing work, but even if everything is going up and down around you, you can choose to stay steady in those ups and downs.

@rootforcegrind I sold the dump and got the tilt. I still offer mulch removal, but I use a sub-contractor to come in behind me to clean up the mulch.

Anyone running a tilt deck and wishing they had a dump trailer instead? I’ve got a 14’ steel dump (~4k lbs). Considering a swap because I’m nearly maxed on towing and rarely use the dump feature.

Talking with my friends the conversation shifted to how much of a handful I used to be and it’s funny how much I’ve settled down. I immediately think of my best friend in the military elbow dropping a sink off the wall. The military really taught me that I really wasn’t that impressive in the grand scheme of things. It also really pushed me to better and worsen myself in some cases. Glad I did it.

Sent a tree guy some work today. Feels good to give value instead of just coming with a hand open.

This solo operator life is a rollercoaster. Half the game is just keep stepping, independent of how you feel. So obvious to me why people give up - consistency is hard, and nothing is consistent when you don't yet have momentum.
