Kimmel’s hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country. His monologue about my family isn’t comedy- his words are corrosive and deepens the political sickness within America. People like Kimmel shouldn’t have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate. A coward, Kimmel hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him. Enough is enough.  It is time for ABC to take a stand.  How many times will ABC’s leadership enable Kimmel’s atrocious behavior at the expense of our community.

Claudia, this is a lie, and calling it a “dodged bullet” does not make it factual. There was no proposal on the table that would have produced the largest tax increase in U.S. history. That phrase is a recycled talking point that relies on pretending that allowing temporary tax cuts to expire is the same thing as passing a new tax hike. It is not. The only reason expiration was even an issue is because Republicans designed those tax cuts to sunset in the first place. The bill Republicans passed does not deliver meaningful relief to Americans living paycheck to paycheck. The largest and permanent benefits go to corporations and the highest income households, while relief for working families is smaller, temporary, and often wiped out by higher costs elsewhere. Independent analyses have consistently shown that middle and lower income households see modest short term gains at best, while deficits balloon and long term costs get passed right back to workers through higher interest rates, reduced public investment, and pressure to cut programs families actually rely on. Calling this “real growth” for everyday Americans is a lie. Wage growth for working people has historically come from tight labor markets, public investment, and enforcement of labor standards, not from deficit financed tax cuts skewed toward the top. What this bill reliably grows is inequality and the national debt, not paychecks. So no, Americans did not dodge a historic tax increase, and no, this bill is not a breakthrough for people struggling to get by. Repeating those claims does not make them true, it just makes them louder.

The hoax pizza deliveries have started now, to my house and my family members. Update: we also received a pipe bomb threat on my construction companies office building. President Trump’s unwarranted and vicious attacks against me were a dog whistle to dangerous radicals that could lead to serious attacks on me and my family. Unfortunately, I’ve been down this road before. As a matter of fact, as I campaigned all over the country and defended President Trump, I received dozens of swatting calls on my house and my family members homes along with these hoax pizza deliveries, but even more severely I have received some of the most death threats of any Member of Congress that led to multiple men being convicted and serving time in prison. And all of that came from the left. Now that President Trump has called me a traitor, which is absolutely untrue and horrific. Mark Levin has been calling me a traitor. And so have other prominent likely paid social medial activists. This puts blood in the water and creates a feeding frenzy. And it could ultimately lead to a harmful or even deadly outcome. Also, the timing of this just happens to be days before we take the vote on releasing the Epstein files. I love America and the American people, and I swore an oath to uphold the constitution and always do so. I am not a traitor. However, when the President of the United States irresponsibly calls a Member of Congress of his own party, traitor, he is signaling what must be done to a traitor. I fought harder than anyone to help President Trump get elected and I support his administration and the promises we made on the campaign. I am a Republican in good standing and have paid all of my dues to the NRCC. My voting record is one of the most conservative voting records in Congress and I’m very proud of that. The toxic and dangerous rhetoric in politics must end and we need healing in this country for all Americans.

@strategywoman I avoid Twitter (I refuse to call it anything else). I come here only to verify a post I see elsewhere or for 2 or 3 people I used to follow and miss because they didn't go to Bluesky. I don't stay here long becauseit gets ugly. I receive your Sunday letters in my email.

@SpeakerJohnson Nice try, but we aren't buying your lying and a$$-kissing. The monies have been there all along. USDA even told folks not to worry. It was trump who decided he wanted to add some cruelty to the already difficult circumstances people are in. He is a hateful man and so are you.

The American people are blessed to have a President who is fully committed to their safety and well-being — even when Senate Democrats so callously abandon them.
